Atheism

That's a common misconception about atheists and freethinkers, that they believe in nothing. To the contrary, atheists believe in truth, reality, reason and logic. Those attributes are the foundation for consciously thinking people who are surely not willing to fall for anything, as you say.

Well can you prove that God DOESN'T Exist? When you can you may rag on me to your hearts content. In the mean time STFU!

I don't try to convert you do I? Leave me to cling to my guns and religion.

Heres a perfect reason why atheists are their own worst enemy...and yet they try so hard to be taken seriously.

Ground Zero Cross makes atheist sick to there stomachs?

The group actually claims that its members are experiencing “dyspepsia [upset stomach], symptoms of depression, headaches, anxiety, and mental pain and anguish,” not from the devastating destruction of life caused by the terrorists on 9/11, but as a “direct and proximate result of the unconstitutional existence of the cross.” That’s not a line from a blog post, a press release, or a fundraising letter; that is the actual legal argument presented by the American Atheists in their complaint.

Thanks for the very tempered and rational response. For some reason I picture you running away with your hands over your ears saying, "la la la la la la la la la la la." What's that very famous movie line spoken by Jack Nicholson? Oh, yeah. "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!"

I had no idea that correcting a misconception equated to ragging and converting for you.

Thats not a misconception. Its true. Atheists and Nihilists are one of the same. They think they are smarter, therefore they must be smarter. They don't fool anyone and the main reason why they are considered kooks and crazies.

I take the same approach with people like you that I do with Jehovah's Witness's when they land on my doorstep. I tell them you have 30 seconds to vacate or I will physically remove you. One of the rights granted by society is the right to be left alone. I frankly couldn't give a crap what you do or do not believe. It's frankly none of my business. Why do you try to make it mine?

My concern is when the belief goes to far. When people start thinking that religious dogma can be taught along side science as an equal. The earth is not 6,000 yrs old, man did not walk along side dinosaurs and we are genetically related to hominids that were not homo-sapiens that we are today.

Our idiot of a govenor is going to pray to fix the economy, pray to end the drought ....pray pray pray.... what happens hen it does not work? They say if what they pray for happens that is proof of gods existence, they do not say that the opposite is true when their prayers are not answered. What ever.

Believe in what ever you want, just keep it out of the public sector.

Prayer is like sitting in a rocking chair. It gives you something to do but doesn't get you anywhere.

Scientific theory cannot be used to prove religious dogma. Asking science to disprove the validity of prayer would be like asking you to prove a dog cannot talk.

There is no proof that you could provide of a single instance where a prayer worked that would satisfy scientific scrutiny any more than there is any proof that we could offer that would pass religious dogma.

Well Science told us that Global warming was fate acompli, NOW we find it was a fraud. So Science isn't the be all, end all either. How about a comment on the bond rating down grade brought on by the Progressive Libtards????? HMMMM Crickets on that one. Still waiting for scientific proof that God doesn't exist

No it is not a fraud. Some scientist misrepresented some of the data. The climate is changing. Man is part of the equation. How much a part is the question. What on earth does the economy have to do with religious dogma or scientific method?

Science touches every aspect your your life. We trust it virtually every day of our life. Science is involved in everything from the clothe you wear to the food you eat. The furniture you sit on, the PC you are typing on and the meds you take.

What scientific proof would you accept? How would science go about providing that proof?

Science could no more prove that prayer does not result in anything any more than science could prove that the tooth fairy does not exist.
