They would have hired a different lot of scabs or upped the price to get more people. Maybe they would have called AA and asked them to lay some more of you guys off so they could hire you. Just like if there is another strike elsewhere the unemployed AMFA Boys will cross that line. Their faith in unions is shot just like the X-AA guys that are here. It appears that unions are in self-destruction mode. If they take concessions its members lose faith if they strike it is certain suicide. They are in a lose lose situation just like the dinosaurs once were. Which is the way they will be going if they do not learn to adapt to the new economic environment. If you guys represent the majority of union members then change is going to be hard thus you guys are will see your unions to certain doom.

I know this wasn’t meant for me but I just couldn’t resist.

I have little if any use for an individual who crosses a picket line.

I have even less use for someone who accuses someone of in this case "Pencil Whipping" without facts to support the allegation. That is just as insulting as calling a Flight Attendent a "Sky Waitress" or a "Vending Machine with Arms".

I think the mere fact that they chose to cross the picket line speaks volumnes about their integrity and character as human beings. There is no need to accuse them of what is probably criminal activity without evidence.

Their actions speak for themselves! Why bother to interupt! Now mind you this is coming from a guy who would NEVER work union. But I won't even cross an informational picket line at the local grocery where a non union store is trying to organize much less take a persons job.

Some things are just WRONG regardless of your opinions and crossing a picket line is one of them, as is falsely accusing someone without facts.

Your much appreciated answer, is WRONG.

Once NW saw that they could'nt attract ANY SCABS, Dougie Stealin' would have got a (RED PHONE) call from the BOD's, instructing lil' dougie to "back down", and get the airline (temporarily) flying again.

Once they saw that as time went by, that they STILL could'nt attract any VERMIN, they would have called for binding arbitration. If they could'nt have gotten binding arbitration, they would have shrunk the airline to the point that the unions would have agreed to binding arbitration.

Once the arbitrator ruled, THEN NW would have made a simple choice, to stay flying as NW, or consider a merger/acquisition.

BOTTOM LINE -------------------------------------------

NW NEEDED SCABS, and you and the OTHER opportunistic, BOTTOM FEEDING, POS SCABS obliged them, while thinking ONLY for YOURSELVES, while taking advantage of a labor dispute.

You(and yours) are like a TUMOR !

What you and all of the others who crossed did was dilute and devalue the AMT's wages at every Aircraft Maintenence Facility nationwide for years to come. Other airlines will now challenge their unions with impunity and third party facilities will see further downward pressure on prices they can charge, thus limiting the income and advancement opportunities for people like yourself.

Nice work. Wait until the lawn darts start poping up. I hope for your sake that you are not the person who pencil whipped a repair in order to keep your job who signs off on the next lawn dart.

Well PineyBob if they were actual market wages we wouldn't have to worry about me cranking every AMT's pay down now would we? If these union gurus would attack the real issues that would make a lasting difference instead of attacking the companies then we wouldn't be having this problem. Would we? Instead of creating a larger demand for AMT's (I cannot believe I am actually using that term.)unions have divided themselves so much they can't even lobby congress for laws keeping work in the States. Why haven't the unions lobbied that only FAA Certified Mechanics work on U.S. registered aircraft? Why haven't unions demanded that third party maintenance must use FAA Certified Mechanics? Do you guys not understand that if you increase the demand you increase pay? I guess not because your unions continue to allow thousands of AMT's be dumped on the market with nowhere to go.

You just don't get it do you? When the tide is going up on one side it’s going down on the other side. Sometimes it will leave you high and dry with nowhere to go.

Like I said you need something a bit more stable than relying on the whims of the tide.
 
That's of course not to say that I haven't had my own share of spelling gaffs, its just that misspelling something while trying to make an off color comment on someone else's spelling is a hoot.
