What's new

Attitude = Reality

I can live with that, but I was commenting on his use of actual sentences other that his usual "POS SCAB" responses.

I guess I really should take DEADBIRD up on his spell checker.

What's the matter PTO ? THE TRUTH HURT ??????????

Of course you wont answer(in full) my "thank you PTO" post.

YOU KNOW WHY, and "WE" KNOW WHY. "YOU CAN'T" !!!!!!

(Must have been the reference to you and your's, as a HORRIBLE SPREADING CANCEROUS TUMOR) !!!!!!!!!!!

Or was it the reference to you, and your's, of "YOU'LL CARRY THAT "STINK" until you get the GROUND YOU HAVE COMING TO YOU" !!!!!!!!!

Bottom line, YOU(and your's) are among the LOWEST forms of HUMANITY !!!!!!

It IS what it IS !!!!!!!!!!!!!

So "yuk" it up PTO, but ALWAYS remember.
WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND !!!!!!!!

NH/BB's

I mentioned them in the same breath because I know they are under the same roof. I was being facetious. I have nothing against WalMart politically or economically, I just don't like being around that many poor people.

So then you're a snobbish as$hole?

What's the matter PTO ? THE TRUTH HURT ??????????

No NH/BB not at all. The truth is my truths and your truths are two different things. Our cultures may as well come from two different planets. Even though your union world is withering and dying in front of you, you will never see it. Just as you do not see that my world is on a steady rise. I am a bottom feeder remember? I can only go up. You however have seen the golden days of your world and it is in a steady decline. You are in a sinking ship that you are trying to bail out with a flat bottom shovel. Jump ship while you still can.

Gee, you put a whole 6 six years in and weren't on top of the world? We had a guy who was the bottom guy for 8 years. You started right before 9/11 and you expected what? Air tran just signed a contract at $31 an hour, why are you wasting your time there? Fed ex UPS and others are $10 an hour more than that. You sound bitter about seniority, a lot of guys who think the world revolves around them do.
I don't think the world revolves around me, though clearly the AMFA techs thought so. They believed it so much they tried (unsuccessfully) to get what they wanted by throwing an oversized pitty party.

JetWreck, reminds of these idiots on the freeway that try to cut in at the last minute, because they were either too stupid to get in line further back or because they think that they should not have to wait in line like everybody else. You are a sorry excuse for a humanbeing JetWreck. Did that hamburger taste good?
Ah my dear Princess, thank you for your kind and tasteless words. I love reading your posts. Its a real comfort knowing that all the senseless hatred that has added so much to our country is not gone from the world.

I am still waiting on my hamburger Princess.

Welcome aboard Jet Tech, It is nice to see more people coming here that are not brainwashed by unionism and actually care about their job and performance. These guys here know more about their unions than they do their jobs. That way they know how to keep from doing their job instead of having to do their job.
Thanks PTO. I take great pride in being a free thinker.

Isn't she just lovely? She is a shinning light of hope and glory for the aviation industry.

If you cant think past the wrench you wont get anywhere. If you can actually fix an airplane ( I mean actually, you know? like do more than trouble shoot a flat tire... ) You can go a lot farther than carnie mechanic.

Also, just to throw it out there, for someone who says people on here whine too much, you seem to do an awfull lot of it yourself jet tech, just from the other point of view. Take you own advice and "SHUT THE FU*# UP". I dont mind you comming here and wasting some time with us, but no need to be a hippocrit, right?
You are quite right sir. To all those who were offended by my rather thoughtless statement. I truely appoligize. I appriciate someone who can call a spade a spade. I will take your words to heart and try to curve my statements.

Jet tech,
Quote: "Where I come from, we call that quitting".
Where I come from JT we call you A SCAB.
A LOW LIFE BOTTOM FEEDING SCAB !!!!

You're obviously from the SOUTH.(of the M/D line)(NO surprise there) !!

Some of the most seriously BRAIN WASHED people I've ever met in my life, reside in the South. What else can be said about a majority of people, who, from birth, were taught to HATE Black folks, Jews, (to a large extent) Catholics, UNIONS etc.

So "JT", there you have it.

The miserable LOW life members of these different Management teams, KNOW they can count on guys like you !!!
The So VERY SAD thing about that is that YOU will wear, going to work for them, AS A BADGE OF HONOR !!!

I REST MY CASE !!!!!
??

NH'BB's
How very astute of you to deduce that I am from the south. However, much to the misconseption, I was not tought to hate anything, let alone Blacks, which I might add that my adopted sister was, and unfortunately she was Murdered on Christmas eve 04. Do not ever accuse me of being racist again. And just to clerify I was never tought to hate Unions. Quite the opposite actually. My Father is very big on Unions, and while the way I got my foot in the door put trumendus strain on our relationship, even he admits that going on strike when replacements were on standby was foolish.

no need to worry about not being home, NWA is only a few weeks away from sending you and all your scabs home when the other three unions walk out on strike, effectively shutting down the airline.
Well I can't speak for the rest of the SCABS. I personally believe that common sense will prevail in the end. If you for one second believe that there aren't replacements for the other three Unions, you have seriously underestimated NWA. There have been too many upheavals in the industry over the last five years. Too many Pilots, F/A's and other support help that have been let go all thanks to their wonderful Union or otherwise governing leaders.
Aviation weather you want to admit it or not is in the blood of everyone involved with the operation. When seperated its like not being able to breath. And there are thousands who haven't taken a breath for a long time. Most would do anything, including cross a picket line just to get back to their jobs. If the other three Unions, especially the Pilots think they have control of their members, they will be sadly mistaken when the time comes. Many have too much invested and will be unwilling to give that up due to a short term problem, which I believe will resolve itself given time. If the airline is in such dire straits, then why are they pulling planes back out of the Desert. I have seen more work in the hangers in the last three weeks than I did in the first three months. I asure you NWA is not going anywhere any time soon.
As for sending us home, again I cannot speak for the rest of the SCABS, but I am home....

One of the biggest problems in the world is miscommunication. To help eradicate this, could you please, in clear, concise, ACCURATE terms, and with out prejudice, describe an example of said bootlicking?
For instance..if I know a birds got to be pushed out of the barn right away, is it bootlicking if I do everything I can to help clear the A/C even if its not in my contract to move a stand out of the way?
Is it bootlicking if, after finishing one job as quickly as I safely can, I immediatly report to my supervisor for my next asignment, as opposed to wasting hours standing around and jawjacking?
I hear this "bootlicking" term quite often. I wonder if its merely a unionist euphimism for "heavy hitter", something I consider to be a compliment
If I am wrong, I ask that you correct me. However, if all you can do is spout propaganda, as opposed to meaningful dialog, I thank you for making my point.

MY job is to do all I can to help deliver a quality aircraft on time, on target....WHATS YOURS?
Well put....

Sometimes I wish you guys would remember that there is a long history of getting the short end of the stick on the floor. There are jerks that hide behind union workrules, but there are also hardworking people who have seen their livelyhood destroyed, even had they accepted the contract what would have been left wasn't worth it. Scabbing someones job in a labor dispute has never been looked at positively by anyone, don't make it sound heroic. If you had been taken in by worthless stock scams and multiyear givebacks in the middle of record profits your attitude would not be great either. NWA has pushed it too far, the remaining people will rather see it shut down. And, by the way, most pilots are active or ex-military. You don't see them stab each other in the back for a paycut.
Neither is folding your arms and stomping your foot in a fit of anger when you don't get your way. Oh and by the way, most pilots have enough sense to manage their money so that paycuts aren't an issue.

Well put....

Oh now thats a good one! Managing ones finances is one thing, but you are truly ignorant if you believe passing off a 30%+ wage/benefit cut is a non-issue.

Ok, I can see this could go on all day, so I will try and narrow the scope a bit. Are the two examples I gave "bootlicking"? Can you give me SPECIFIC examples of ON THE JOB occurrences, that would constitute "bootlicking"?, or are you just going to spout more meaningless name calling?
Also, keep this in mind. It is highly unlikely that I will convince you of my point of view, and it is equally unlikely that I will agree with you. Having said that, the next logical question would be, "Why do we continue to post?" Keep in mind that there are many who read these boards who may be undecided about unionism vice right to work. If you were fairly objective, yet knew little of labor relations, whose posts would stand out as the most articulate and common sensical, and whose posts would more likely resemble the hate-filled ramblings of a quasi religious fanatic? Or is there some sort of middle eground upon which we can agree?

My job is to help deliver a quality aircraft on time, on target....WHATS YOURS?
I am not worthy to be in your presence oh great one. May your intelligence prevail. All hail the dumb Jarhead with only a high school education......WHAT THE HELL DOES HE KNOW!

I have given you an example of a bootlicker csar, It needs no more clarification. I have wittnessed it in my many years in this Industry, and a SCAB fits the profile!.....enough said. you will never justify your actions to me or any other honorable union men or women. therefore theres not much we can or will agree upon, I see good paying jobs leaving our shore, and you see a way to make a quick buck!
HHMMMM......Quick buck and jobs leaving our shores? Now let me see. Who is to blaim for this one?.......Oh I know! THE GOVERNMENT! Are they not the ones that decided for you that NAFTA was a good thing. Well then your right at home in a Union. Because from where I am sitting, they both do the same thing to their constituants. Simply put, they promise everything, give you nothing, take your money and leave you to fend for yourself........ As far as a quick buck?........Isn't that what drives our economy?

So, in summation, are the two examples I gave examples of "bootlicking", or not?
Remember, I'm just a dumb jarhead. The title of scab has no meaning to me, so to use that as an example is inadequate. Are you unable, or merely unwilling, to give more specific answers?
If you are unable to answer my first examples, here are others.
Is it bootlicking to go above and beyond the call of duty?
Is it bootlicking to give your job every thing you got for 8 hours because thats what your work ethic mandates?
Is it bootlicking to work with mngmt, cleaners, avionics, supply, QC, GSE and others to help deliver a quality aircraft on time on target?
Have I made my point? I, and all the others reading this board, already know of your rapid hatred for scabs, whatever they are, so please try and answer these specific questions. To do otherwise only makes you out to be a buffoon capable only of reciting unionist mantra. I ask you, in all politeness, to address the specific scenerios I posed, and try to illuminate those of us who have never lived under union rules exactly where hard work and mission accomplishment end, and bootlicking begins. Again, I re-iteraate that I am just a dumb Jarhead...please be as specific and clear as possible, using terms a non-unionist would understand, without the rhetoric and hubris that marks the majority of your posts.
I repeat myself,.....All hail the dumb Jarhead with only a high school education.......WHAT THE HELL DOES HE KNOW!

Csar, when you pencil whip the logbook or glue in those missing screws you're "bootlicking". Since it is a known fact, that you scabs are pencil whipping the logbooks and doing substandard maintenance then you are "bootlickers".
Dear Princess, two thoughts for today. First, you clearly have no idea what you are talking about, second, you are clearly not paying attention. CSAR doen't work on the line, he is a glorified Secratary simply checking paperwork for parts, not much more I'm afraid. Further more, when he does turn wrenchs, he is amoung the best that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES QUESTION HIS INTEGRITY. He is a Marine,....enough said.

Yes a positive attitude can mean the difference between being miserable and being happy. Basically what you are talking about is a self fulfilling prophecy so you really are not saying anything profound.

With that said there are also those who are positive to the point of being disconnected from reality. Do you honestly think that NWA won't possibly cut your pay or benefits? Or if it suits them to lay you off? You are working for a company that obviously views it's employees as a liablity and not an asset. One not need to work for NWA or be an airline industry insider to figure that out. All one needs to do is pick up the newspaper.

You are also working for an airline that is in a very percarious position when compared to the rest of the industry, and that's saying something. An airline whose only idea, it seems, to turn things around is to start an airline within an airline. Where have we heard that before? Can you say Continental Lite, Metro Jet, Shuttle by United or Song.
Very good observation, and polite to boot. To anwser your question, No I don't think they won't cut my pay, fact of the matter is that I'm almost betting on it. But that will not desway me. The fact is that I am an Aviator. I was born one and I will die one. I've always been to poor to afford the amount of money it takes to get my ATP rating, so if I can't fly them, I'm going to fix them and ensure that they fly safely. Lets face it, the world in which a Man (or Woman) can feel secure in their job has long since pasted. There is nothing secure about the 21st century. I am in no way disconnected with reality. Just the opposite actually. I understand full and well the percarious position that the Airline is in. And I can't exactly say that I fully agree with this whole comuter bit. The simple matter is that I love my work. And I will always try to see the silver lining in the darkest of clouds. We do not live in a perfect world nor will I ever claim that we do. But my inital point was that no matter how bleak the situation, things can always be worse. I choose not to focus on the negative, but be mindful of what I have, and be greatful.

Here's your list, scab or should I say scab list.
List of Pencil Whippers:

1. CSAR GYRENE
2. Play the Odds
3. Opus
4. Jet Tech
5. Any NWA scab
Look everyone, I made the list, HEY MOM!

Well ladies, gentlemen, and POS SCABS, let me TRY this AGAIN, for the "2nd time" !!!

ADDRESSED to CSAR GYRENE, or ANY other S C A B ;
Question;

"Where would NW be right NOW/TODAY, if "NO" opportunistic, BOTTOM FEEDING, POS SCABS had NOT crossed the picket line" ????????????????
"I'm WAITING" !!!!!
NH/BB's
They would be up in smoke. Simply put. And thousands of other jobs wouldn't have been lost, they would have been disolved.......and you would still be out of a job, along with the 20,000 plus worker that you helped to put on the unemployment list..All because of a temper tantrum.

Frankly I do not like what unions have become in this country. The IAM is nothing more than a dues collection service that provides little if any value to the average member.

Seniority is a bogus system that stifles the ambitous and often rewards mediocrity.

Unions do not listen to their members anymore than airline executives listen to their customers.

I was in the paperhandlers union for exactly 60 days and I saw drunks who were a safety hazard keep their jobs while placing my life at risk by being drunk. No thanks.

What organized Labor was and should be compared to what is actually is today is a disgrace. Joe Hill, Mother Jones, Aunt Molly Jackson, Sarah Gunning, Jow Kenaghan, John L Lewis, Jock Yablonski & Jimmy Hoffa all must be turning in their graves over what passes for unionism today.

208 Safety Violations in 12 months and the vaunted UMW of A buries 12 of their own. The Coal Operator in some cases didn't even perform the mandatory pre shift air quality inspections mandated in the UMW of A contract. 20 years ago their wouldn't have been miner one in that hole if that happened. Now we haul 12 dead out with another clinging to life. Makes me wanna puke! Still won't cross a picket line which makes me a better man than you.
While we may disagree on the subject of crossing a picket line, I must say that I agree with your assement of the Modern Union 100%. I must also agree with you that corperation leaders care more about their pocket books than their people. I would however say that there is a line between a Manager, and a Corprate Executive.
I am a little distressed that you think yourself better because of your refusal to cross a picket line. I don't know about better, but I certainly aplaude you for having the integrity to make up your own mind.
