Attractive People Can Be Fired In Iowa

Betcha' the dentist's OL' LADY MADE the wuss DO IT.

Now there's an insightful comment, Bears. If you'd read the article linked by the OP, you'd see that the dentist's lawyer admitted that.

BINGO!

It goes without saying that if she was a problem because she was attractive, why did he hire her in the first place.

Wife visits. Compares. Can't stack up. Get rid of her or I'll divorce you...and take everything you got!!! 🙄

Didn't you read the article you linked? The dentist hired the assistant 10 years before but toward the end of that ten years, he began to find her attractive and irresistable. If he had the hots for her when she was 22, he kept those feelings hidden. From the article, looks like he found her really hot when she hit 31 or 32.

His wife worked in the dental office also - so it wasn't like she visited and suddenly noticed the hot assistant.

It's still a dumb law, but I'm sure there is more to the story than we'll ever know.

Bears probably right.....I could see him at dinner telling his Jole 'man is she hot'.....'she wears these tight skirts'.....LOL

Guy hangs himself out to dry.

So there really isn't anything fishy about the whole story??? Maybe the three had a thing going and after 10 years promises were broken and frienships disolved. Maybe they were heading for Brazil that had the first threesome marriage.

BONERGATE?

In a non RTW state, a non unionized employee is awarded the same protections jobwise as a RTW state.

Only difference would be if they were unionized.

And who won them those protections? THat part is ALWAYS overlooked

So a non union employee working at Walgrens is afforded the same protections as the guy in a steel mill because of their union? Somehow I fail to see the link.

Yep. The Walgreens worker gets overtime. Who won overtime for all of us? The Walgreens worker get vacation time...they get safe working conditions. They get sick leave. Are you saying Walgreens gave their worker that out of the goodness of their hearts? Oh yeah...overtime and safe working conditions are laws. Any idea who got those laws passed?

There are a whole lot of things that people who have never belonged to a union for a day in their live enjoy BECAUSE of the unions. Even the lowly Walgreens worker.

So now you have the laws, so much for unions.

So, because of the above, we should be beholden to Unions who are as bloated and are as evil as the company's they infiltrate, more concerned with the amount of dues-paying participants, gotta make the Senior union officers happy, and are more concerned with keeping "Their" power intact vs. the well being of their members......................no thanks !

Anyone check out the AA forums to see how happy they are with their union lately ?

Yes...now we have 'business friendly' GOP congressmen who would like to get rid of those onerous workplace safety laws...and get rid of that job killing minimum wage. Next up...overtime. Vacation time. Sick time. you got what you need so to hell with them. Of course, don't let that pendulum knock you on your ass as it swings back to the early 1900's....then you'll have to start organizing all over again. Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you got til it's gone.

You fail to notice it is happening?
What is Obamacare doing to the 40 32 28 hour work week?

And don't forget unions have become what they once despised.....corporations.

Thanks for pointing out the single biggest flaw in Obamacare...it should have been single payor.

Its designed to kill the HC industry and then have Obama ride in on his white horse and let the government fix it like they do so many other problems.

Yes, and in the process it will free business of providing health care for their employees. Do you buy your own healthcare, or is it provided by your employer? Then these companies who are suddenly free of the burden of employee health care costs can compete on a level playing field with the foreign companies that haven't been providing health care for their employees for years.
