I have to give him credit, Snappy was a good actor for a while.

There are only 2, maybe 3 good westies on this board. The 3rd has his days. There are many more on the line, but here, not so much.

Ya'll should have not ganged up on Clear. There would have been 3 or 4.

When I first put Rebecca's ADA post up, I thought that maybe some people on here would like to participate, such as Aquagreen, who has a diabetic son. I was very pleased to see a nice response for West pilots with their generous donations...I think they threw in about $800. I guess it's true, it just takes one person to screw it up. Just one person. I am sure that you don't represent the attitude of most of the west pilots and where their hearts are. I won't post her charity again.

Hey Denver, are you using the keypad to renter the fight deck after running to the lav? Seems the news of a DEN commuter doing so has made it to our JS committee.

Nope......I can't remember the last time I rode a DEN jumpseat.

"Ganging up" on someone who has no concept of labor law is "cleardirect" a tomb of her own making. Her contributions to AOL along with all the infantile tapes that Claxon keeps posting on the forum are reminders of just how ALL West pilots tacitly applaud childish behavior of you West pilots from behind the scenes.

Like posting on the web board....anonymous. Hey, how come Anger and Auxier aren't making anymore movies? Maybe you can help their cause, along with "Scorched-Earth" Simmons.....who also doesn't know anything about labor law.

How does labor law apply? Is it a crime to donate to AOL?

Tomb of her own making? Is she a criminal who got the death penalty?

I've had some experience working with detectives and prosecutors in putting a criminal behind bars for ten years. It took 2 years and $15000 to see the "guilty" verdict read by the jury. Icing on the cake, as a convicted felon, no more practicing medicine. He did not have the moral character to be in the practice of healing.

So, I ask, what are the crimes of the people named in your post?

Your group uses nazi's victims, makes fun of a fellow workers age and uses a daughter of a poster to further your needs.

You then call me the trap. Scumbag!

And who is MARK KING??? Bill Mckee?? And we won't mention Woody Menear....

Mark King here;

I wanted my name to be front and center on this communication, as I do not want to be accused of being a part of a nameless propaganda machine. Those of you that know me and/or have flown with me know I have very strong opinions about current union politics. I take responsibility for everything you are about to read. These are my words and my thoughts, not those of a ghostwriter.

I do not approve of Bill McKee’s politics and/or the current leadership team he has worked for and with. We now are living under an injunction, we have pilots being fired, and we are nowhere near getting a contract. The current elections are a referendum on how we have been doing business.

To all our benefit, Mike Cleary and Randy Mowrey chose not to face the embarrassment of failure they were due in the new Officer elections. This union is already going down a better road not having their egos to deal with. Good riddance to their three year reign of NO PROGRESS.

But we are not out of the woods yet. By proxy, Bill McKee is carrying their flag in the new elections. I can only imagine the full flight pay loss jobs he is promising the outgoing Officers. If Bill McKee is your best friend, or the Godfather to one of your kids, or he (as he claims) the “rock star” of the Charlotte crew base…then read no further.

Bill McKee is a fine pilot and does a great job representing pilots in the CP office. Those are duties expected of us all in either function. But I believe Bill’s union politics and demeanor will lead to my family never getting a raise. How is it going for you so far? He has been the Leader of the Charlotte Domicile and a key supporter of the Cleary Mowrey machine…has that been successful? Do we believe that by now upgrading him to President, he will miraculously become an effective leader? I DO NOT.

McKee’s whisper campaign of subversion started early on in USAPA’s history. After spending almost a year getting us to a representational election, Steve Bradford and I found out in our absence (flying our blocks) McKee (and to be fair, the entire BPR) brought Cleary straight from his full time flight pay job at ALPA to be our replacement VP--- full flight pay loss again. We were not even consulted. Looking back, it was a terrible decision.

As Steve and I tried to keep the wheels on the new union, McKee was already working with Cleary against Steve behind the scenes, making it clear they did not think Steve was deserving or up to the job as our President. Please note, Steve and I had no intention of staying so long (one year) as interim officers, yet were rebuffed by McKee and others when I tried to call for elections in the fall. I should have done so anyway, as was my right as Treasurer and in hind sight may have prevented the hijacking of your new union.

McKee was not happy with our CBL choice for 3 USAPA Officers. We had it right, but McKee and Cleary wanted to have another Officer (of their choosing) so they got their new Officer position by a change to the CBL. That is just plain good politics, bravo. But when “their guy” failed to win election, the real scum rose to the surface, as McKee floated another CBL referendum to now eliminate the position. That is plain “bad” politics, and our pilots were smart enough to not bite, voting down the reversal.

Later, McKee made it clear to Steve and I in one of his typical rants that he was glad to see us leave office, and that we were everything wrong with the union. Thanks Bill for the parting shot, only you have missed the point. We never left nor has any other dues paying member in good standing.

Bill has often taken others to task about proper demeanor. But in a meeting in the summer of 2008, I personally watched him yell, curse, and demand that a member in good standing “sit down and shut up”, the same member who had been recognized by the Chair to speak. He harangued and berated that pilot, who was advocating a different position than McKee had on the fuel school issue. In the end that pilot’s position turned out to be the one closest to the one taken by the Union. Bill accuses others of being disruptive but he turned this meeting into a yelling contest. What an unprofessional display of disrespect and poor judgment.

Bill demanded the union immediately spend moneys we didn’t really have on the pension investigation. Had the assessment resolution failed, we would have owed hundreds of thousands of dollars we didn’t have. Had Bill (and Cleary) been doing their jobs, they would have known USAPA was near bankruptcy. The pension investigation was already outside the statute of limitations, with a finding of fraud being the only avenue of recourse. That could have waited a few months until we won the dues arbitration and got into the black. Thanks McKee, and thanks for doing your irresponsible ranting business without talking first to me, the Treasurer. You should not spend moneys you don’t have…or more importantly THAT DOES NOT BELONG TO YOU! no matter how you want to impress your hard core supporters.

In June of 2009 Bill McKee sent an email to some Officers and Reps stating the following:

“Guys…
Did you know that the founder of AOL, the Army of Leonidas, is Mike Koontz, a pilot for AWA; Koontz of German decent? Did you know that they are flying everyday and on their PA’s they welcoming people to the “New US Airways”? Have you read the Leonidas website to hear their mission statement?
AOL is for the “Protection and advancement of the AWA pilots (America West Pilots):
Have any of you ever read Mein Komph? Did you know that Leonidas colors on the AOL website are RED/BLACK/WHITE, the same as the Swastika?

Please research the Leonidas squadron from WWII. You will find that it was a suicide squadron of the Third Reich under Adolph Hitler and you will find if you research history that they looked to the east to take what they thought was rightfully theirs.
Read about the brown shirts and how they intimidated others to the weak to bend to allow them into power.

May I suggest that AOL is actually based on the German squadron of Leonidas and not King Leonidas of the Spartans……”[/COLOR]

His drivel is really too painful to read. But I want to point out his references are consistent. He only yesterday referred to Gary having an “unholy” alliance with the West Pilots. I would think being an Officer of the union would require working with the West in all things political. The seniority issue is the elephant in the room. McKee, Gary, and I are on the same page. McKee is simply lying with malice saying Gary is going to cave on DOH.

From McKee’s domicile communication:

"We will add the names of Captain Pate, Bewely and Newhart to our list of heroes" (13 Jan CLT update)”

What???

Here is what McKee and the BPR voted on a few years ago, during fuel school. Remember, after this they removed management from union membership and dues paying. Below is part of the resolution passed by the BPR, and voted for by McKee!:

Captain Skip Pate (CLT Regional Director of Flying):
For taking a stand to “not get involved” even though he did sign and send a letter to his pilot, under his direction, with the threat of discipline, up to and including termination, via certified mail.

THEREFORE BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Board of Pilot Representatives, their Officers and the Communications Committee use due diligence to ensure that all of our pilots recognize the sincere lack of trust and confidence in our Corporate pilot Management and emphasize the importance of USAPA Representation with any communications or dealings with any of the six aforementioned Management Pilots.

Passes unanimously

BPR-009-03 Sep 08

I have always looked our "fuel school" as one of the worst things I have ever seen in my aviation career. Using any training department for discipline is unbelievable! Yet McKee tosses that grievous trespass aside in his strange defense of Pate and the popcorn maker gang.

Gary Hummel was “fired” from the Training Department for standing up for the line pilots. He stood up in a check airmen meeting when they were preaching fuel school and protested. He told them that he trained the most experienced airline pilots on the planet and would not tolerate these managements’ insults to our pilots. When they fired Gary, he quietly walked out of the building without fanfare. He then stepped up as our Training Committee Chairman! You never hear Gary blowing his own horn on his stand in the training center. Yet McKee now bows up and takes the side of management by supporting “fuel school” Pate as a "good chief pilot." Go figure. Maybe he is simply once again masking his fear of the future by smear tactics?

What is it Bill...who do you stand behind - our pilots or our Chief Pilots? You cannot have it both ways. I already know the answer; you only stand behind your self serving interests and your inflated ego. Mystery solved.

Recently Bill represented USAPA at the latest Labor Board Meeting in PHX. Bill’s choice of issues important to our pilots? Yet again, ”the firing of the CLT Chief Pilots.”

“Last week the Charlotte pilots were shocked and appalled at the sudden unexplained dismissal of our long standing Chief Pilots. We did not always agree with them and their actions but we always were able to maintain a respectful professional union/management relationship with the Chief Pilot’s office.”

Gee, I guess that relationship McKee had with Pate was not that great. After all, a good Rep would have contacted the CP office weeks before distance learning was due to make sure everyone was finished. But no, Bill WANTED guys not to do it…he was happy to see them fired for his “cause.” Then without permission, he takes a terminated pilot’s family photo and uses it in his election campaign. Has he no shame? He has no shame.

And don’t forget (back to the Labor Board meeting) sitting there embarrassed in the meeting were the Reps from the Dispatchers (note, they are on their SECOND contract.) Also there was the AFA, and they have a T/A. “And then there’s Maude”… I mean “McKee” complaining about management staffing positions!

Also from McKee’s narrative rant at the Labor Board Meeting:

“My heart is Piedmont blue but any of our pilots, regardless of can make this operation run smoothly every day on every leg as every line pilots has on average almost 30 years of experience and 20 to 30 thousand hours of flight time.”

And from his recent domicile communications:

“These men formerly from Pittsburgh and now hailing from Arizona continuously make a mockery of our profession as they perpetually find new ways to disrespect our pilots. Never forget that Doug Parker, Scott Kirby and Robert Isom could never get away with these unethical tactics and behaviors unless former airline pilots were willing to turn their backs on their once fellow aviators, and sell their professional integrity and souls, leaving the line pilot in the cold for their own personal gains.”

I can only guess Bill is courting the Charlotte vote in his attempt at being our new President. Why else would he dig up the old North/South stuff, over two decades old? Good job Bill...drag out some more divisive issues. Sure, that will help us all. But get yourself elected, that’s the ticket. Good thing only half of CLT bothers to even vote.

Bill McKee, “Mr. Injunction”, was a major ringleader in the hijacked Safety Campaign / Job action. The judge’s injunction order was in fact a love letter to McKee, as his domicile updates were cited five times by Judge Conrad. If McKee was such a staunch supporter of the effort, why is he not behind challenging the decision in court? We have over $5 million dollars in the bank. Remember, he could not get HIS distance learning done quick enough.

Remember the office location “fiasco?” McKee was the ringleader there (along with his co-henchmen), wasting FIVE meetings fighting the BPR over their informed decision. Bill lied by asserting phantom crime and mold were prevalent at the chosen location. Bill knew the truth, but he lied and put us all at financial risk contractually with the brokers and the owner of the building with his libel. I still to this day find it unbelievable Gary, as EVP had to sign the lease. It was Cleary’s job, and McKee did not call him out on it.

And guess who was left out to dry during all this embarrassing maneuvering? Why our Safety Chairman of course. They kept canceling his appearance before the Board. He wanted to talk to the Board about the legitimate and fine Safety campaign he was running. But McKee (and Cleary) wanted no part of it. They wanted a work action, an ill advised one at that. Ask Lee Seham…he said “don’t do it.” Good work McKee. Nice injunction, very poorly executed no matter what your politics.

McKee also lied to me during my efforts to address Steve Crimi’s Freedom Air employment. Steve was elected having lied by omission to the CLT pilots about being a Freedom Air pilot. Doug Mowery and I approached McKee and asked him to broker a solution. Our beef was the lack of disclosure. McKee lied and said he would not get involved. He then sank our recall improperly using the official union communication channel by telling pilots not to sign our petition. It was our right as members in good standing to try and recall a Rep; as a matter of fact it is our responsibility and only recourse. It was improper for Bill to deny us a hearing with him on the issue, and especially vile to use union resources to shoot us down.

He also “charged” Steve Bradford and I as Appeal Board Members for not recusing ourselves from a PHL election dispute. He never called or wrote us. He simply charged us. He promptly withdrew the charges and whimpered with his tail between his legs when he found we were protected (and could sue) by Title One free speech rights during an election. Once again, he put your union at risk.

But the single worst thing McKee has ever done was to join Cleary in using the seniority issue in the day to day politics of the union. Just because PHX voted with DCA and part of PHL on a union issue does not mean any compromise on DOH. Shame on you Bill!

It was Cleary and McKee that came up with the idea of meeting with Eric Ferguson and proffering an offer of arbitration on seniority, without informing all the BPR!! Remember Mike’s secret “lunch in Texas?” This is only in keeping with Cleary’s exclusion of two of the Officers in union affairs because they were not to his liking. All these actions were supported by McKee, and do not conform to our CBL or UOM.

Also, remember Cleary and Mowrey going to Tempe without telling the Treasurer or half the BPR during the last UAL merger fiasco? How embarrassing. Again, counter to our CBL. HOW things are done is important. Bill’s support of end runs abound the CBL are evidence he simply has no place as the leader of our union.

McKee has claimed seniority will NOT be settled in the courts. In Bill’s pink sky world it will settled in a back room with McKee and Cleary brokering a compromise. But I digress…that is simply not possible for any Officer (read candidate) to do. Our CBL does not allow for it.

If you made it this far through my letter you are probably not a supporter of McKee for President of USAPA. I think Bill McKee, after Cleary, would as President would be the worst thing that could happen to our union, and to my family’s fortunes.

The bottom-line…PLEASE VOTE FOR SOMEONE! even McKee (with an informed choice). It is time to pay attention!!!

How’s it going for you so far?

Fellow Pilots
You can change your vote at BallotPoint.com

However if you change even one vote- you must revote all positions.
Changing one changes all. You must revote all positions. The only
vote that counts is the one you have cast when the polls close

Another america west pilot produced video, using nazi's victims as an example of their self perceived plight. Made fun of a fellow older female pilot, illegal. Despicable.

Just like Mike Cleary jumping up and down at a BPR meeting, calling the police because the reps selected by the PHX domicile were.....AGENTS OF LEONIDAS!!!

Lion Tigers and BEARS!!!! OH NO!!
