I don't know or care who you are. I didn't think your post was appropriate for a public board, as I didn't think '84's was. I suggested that you take it off, I didn't demand it as I have no right. I didn't copy it so that if you decided it wasn't a good idea it wouldn't be in mine.

This had nothing to do with the Nic fight.

I considered and anticipated the push-back. I did not expect it from you or 84. I expected Claxon, he did not disappoint to twist the message.

Like yourself, I'm not copying posts and running to the mods with messages I disagree. Someone had Clear removed. I don't think it was you.

Please furnish your data regarding east pilot single engine taxi and methodology for collection of same.
Was the survey administered by Cat 3 Productions as is most of your "data?"

Yea right, it's pretty stupid to use the unapproved method right there for people to see. This is a pattern of not following our procedures such as single-engine taxi. I brought that up in training last month and the West complies while the East falls far short.

Safety as a weapon? I see things as black and white. Either you are following the procedures or not. It's your side who screams safety to further your objectives with the company. It stinks to high heaven much like your USA Today ad which trashed the company abd resulted in extra training for some East pilots.

What's known around the industry is your attacks on ALPA pilots. I still wear my ALPA pin rather than that USAPA garbage. I don't want to be seen as one of those who busted the union at this airway.

Our whole safety culture is built on the fact of human nature and that we make mistakes. Some unintentional, some intentional disregard of published procedures. That's the whole idea of trapping errors.

Let me clue you in Mr. Perfect-you and your west brothers aren't perfect.You file ASAPs too. I could give you two hair curling, very expensive west screw-ups off the top of my head, but this isn't the place for that. Let me give you a simple one-a west guy walking down the CLT concourse in tennis shoes the other day. Violation of uniform standards.

I believe your post could be a violation of company policy. It may have been unintentional, but when I brought it to you attention you got defensive and refused to remove it. Maybe it wasn't, but erring on the conservative side would have had you delete, wouldn't it?

The east pilot in question was wrong, not doubt about it. I just don't think this the place to talk about it.

I wasn't running to the training dept, Clax. It was discussed in training. The West is doing better complying with single-engine taxi.

Why do you think they want us to shut down the APU and use the ground power and air? To reduce noise?

Think fuel SKOOL. Remember that?

Another non sequitur? Really? What's with you guys, just tell Judge Silver what immediate and direct harm the West is experiencing so she can correct her manifest legal blunder. If you think the bankruptcy judge is doing something wrong then by all means help him out too, but they are separate issues. 🙂
 
The time approaches when east pilots and F/A's will split. A few questions for my west colleagues.

How often (what percentage) would you estimate:
You stay at the same hotel?
You share a van ride to the same hotel?

Is it your policy to conduct a briefing with every cabin crew change?
If your 1st flight of the day begins with a ride from the same hotel, do you arrange to ride together?
Does your A flight attendant customarily take care of chores such as calling for a van, setting the departure from hotel, etc?

We used to do it, but I've forgotten.

I let the FAs pick the van time. They worry more about the show time. For instance, van runs every half hour, show time is 10:20, you can either take a 10:00 and be 5 mins late, or a 9:30 and be 25 mins early.

Yes, you should brief every new crew, but I think you will find the yourself just hitting the highlights for a crew that is just doing a quick turn etc...

I would guess 65/35 stay at same hotel, but you might ride to hotel with one crew, and depart next day with another, actually, that is very common, and at the hotel has already made that arrangement by scheduling the van time for you.

Oh, and BTW, the Nic is still the only accepted system seniority list at LCC. Which makes guys like Cleary PFJ.
