BA 282 (LAX-LHR) diverted to Iceland: off-duty cabin crew 'slit hisr wrists'

Cabin Crew worker?  Is this a new title for flight attendant, or is this a position needed just because of the A380's size?  With an a/c that size I could see someone who worked full-time just keeping the trash receptacles emptied and the toilets clean.

FA = Cabin crew - it's a British thing, I guess ... ... ...
And it looks like they're hiring:  "We currently have five Cabin Crew fleets, three of which are based at our global hub Heathrow – Worldwide, Euro-Fleet and Mixed Fleet, while the fourth is based at Gatwick airport, and the fifth at London City airport. Right now, we have a range of opportunities for Cabin Crew serving on our Mixed Fleet, London Gatwick and London City fleets."
"As Mixed Fleet Cabin Crew you will have the potential to earn, on average, a reward package of between £21,000 and £25,000 per annum. This comprises of a starting salary of £12,192 per annum, an hourly payment when you are flying, bonuses for achieving your performance targets and commission for Inflight Retail sales. Annual leave starting at 30 days per year rising to 34 days per year."
Starting salary ~ $17 625 per year topping out at ~$36 145.
