5 GOP Senators broke ranks, stopped a filibuster, and enabled the jobs bill to proceed.

SCOTT BROWN/Olympia Snowe/Susan Collins/Kit Bond and George Voinavich.

(Maybe Brown doesn't want to be taken for granted)
(Bond NEEDS $$$$ for Mo.)...(He'll get it NOW)

I wouldn't expect the same results, this Thursday, concerning Nobama-care !

Boston Globe:
Senator Scott Brown came into office as someone who could deliver the pivotal vote for the GOP to halt Democratic initiatives. But yesterday, Brown delivered for the Democrats, helping them advance a jobs bill President Obama and his party seek.

"Touche"

Lets call Brown a RED DOG Republican.

(the Flip side of the likes of Landrieu/Lincoln and a certain "clown" from Nebraska)

Don't you guys remember(not so long ago) about not-so conservative.."MITT" ?

If Brown has any Ideas of becoming a Right Wing NUT JOB (the likes of a Chambliss-Ga. or Corynan(SP?) of Tx.) he'll get Tarred and Feathered by the very same folks in MA. who put him in office,....AND run out of town on a RAIL !

Ahh, political life is GOOD today ! 🙄

thought I read that he was a moderate republican along the lines of McCain. That was why he got support from the independents in MA and got in to office. Should he decide to gun for the WH, I do not think he will get support from the conservative republicans likes of the Rush/Oreilly crowd. Not that it is a bad thing.

You are correct Gar. Unlike the previous poster losing credibility once again(Right Wing Nut-Job) , Brown never pretended, nor did he ever run on the "far right" of Conservatism. He was considered "Center-Right" at best depending on Socio/Economic/Foreign Affair issues. The MSM was the crowd trying to label him as a savoiur to Repubs just because he had an "R" after his name in an extrmely leftist leaning State.

He will not be a viable prospect for the WH, at least under current circumstances, but, politics can change like the wind.

GOOD DAY!!

I am in total agreement. That was not the point of my post.

The teabaggers actively supported Brown's campaign and counted on his victory to stop the Obama agenda. Hence, the Great Right Hope.

Boston Herald:
Massachusetts is becoming ground zero for the national Tea Party movement as emboldened activists flock from Rhode Island, Connecticut and New York in hopes of helping Scott Brown’s meteoric campaign close the deal in the race for U.S. Senate.

“If Brown wins this election, it will be the shot heard around the world,â€￾ said Rhode Island Tea Party President Colleen Conley. “This will be a clear indictment of the Obama presidency and the Democratic Congress overreaching.â€￾

London Times:
Some of the Tea Party activists who helped to propel Mr Brown to his stunning victory in Ted Kennedy’s old seat last month were disgusted.

Atlas Shrugs:
Wanna Stop Obama's Marxist Coup? Get Behind Scott Brown

Like I said in a previous post , it's highly unlikely, the Dems will get any Rep. support this Thurs. concerning Nobama-Care. Well............. at least the Dems get to rejoice for a couple of days out of the year !

In your words......The Teabaggers.......are a fairly "new" organization, if you will. As with a start up grass-roots group, they will have many pitfalls, this being one of them. But, I predict, this is one grass root cause that will morph into a larger cause. Everyday, ordinary Americans banding together against an all intrusive Government into our everyday lives. They probably will not form a third party, nor even have as much of an impact on either Party as far as "their" beliefs are concerned....Left or Right. But, it's possible it may add another dimension to the politics of division and fighting/infighting that is so prevelent in Wash today.

GOOD DAY!!
