With NWA spending over 100 million to topple its mechanics union it is obvious that its "bargaining" with the mechanics was a sham. When the NMB offered to mediate they were turned down by NWA. Is there anyone who believes that the NWA goal was not to topple the mechanics union and then go bankrupt?

Its your timing in this poll I have issue with. If NWA really wanted to 'break' AMFA, they needed to precipitate a strike much earlier than they did. If it were to happen, I think it would take more time than what is left between now and the B deadline.

Well NWA did ask to be released earlier. Besides the poll really only has one answer since NWA admits that it started planning for the strike 6 months prior to even talking to AMFA about concessions.

They could care less if they break the union before or after BK. They just want it done. Do you really think NW is funding this project by themselves?

Actually, NWA has publicly admitted that their preparations began eighteen months ago, or ten months prior to the opening of negotiations. But their intentions were obvious from the point, many months before, when it appeared that other airlines managements were going to be able to shed their pension obligations in bankruptcy.

Hey SCAB,

Your opinions don't count in my poll. Do your own poll.
