Amfa Will Win Its Appeal

The attorneys of AMFA have in the past proven their tenaciousness and expertise on occasion after occasion. AMFA does not win every battle but they have proven to their membership that they will not give up.
At Northwest a protest was lodged by the IAM which delayed AMFA taking over for several months. AMFA survived attempts to unseat them at NWA with the help of their legal staff.
At United the IAM won the battle twice in the last ten years through trickery, but I ask you now, Who represents the mechanics and related at UAL?
At Horizon AMFA won the representational election by less that 5 votes and the TWU could not get the decision overturned.
At Mesaba the company tried to violate the terms of the collective bargaining agreement and contract out overhaul maintenance. AMFA and its legal staff did not allow that to happen.
Just recently at NWA 150 members are being reinstated with FULL BACK PAY. Sure its not as many people returning to the box as AMFA wanted but when is the last time any mechanic returned to the box with full back pay at AA?

AMFA is persistant and its lawyers are tenacious. If the membership at AMFA represented airlines did not believe it were true than the AFL-CIO would be having more success with their card drives. The AFL-CIO cannot get a foothold at any AMFA represented airline.

My prediction:


AMFA will prevail in the appeals process since it is obvious that the list was inflated. It will not take much to prove the list a sham.

By this time next year AMFA will be preparing for early openers with American Airlines.

Seham and McCormick dropped the ball, that's what happened. You had a very bad game plan going in. You take a number from 2001 and think that's all you needed. No research apparenly, no "stategery" on the part of amfa. Heck, you even had your hands on some confidential material and still blew it!! You LOST, get over it, and if you are going to continue to try I suggest you get some better players next time!!!! Because the ones you have now aren't workin' for ya'!!! It will not be AMFA that will shut the twu down. It will simply be the membership that will do that. After twenty years of the twu selling out our craft and profession the time has come to stop the erosion of our future.

Right now twu supporters are saying to pull together and fight back what was taken from us. But it is these very same supporters of the industrial twu that either have forgotten or just plain refuse to accept that it is thier very own twu that allowed us to be robbed. little even admits the twu needs change. The only problem is that the twu will not change for the better.

The company and union fear a fair democratic election between the twu and AMFA. The NMB has not ruled either way yet. All Hennessey did was "rule without making a ruling". Let's wait till the OFFICIAL word is given. Until then the twu will be bringing itself down.

I put my faith in AMFA's legal staff. In a couple weeks TWU appointed ATD Director Jim Little will be having to explain to the membership why he told them there would be no election.

Why does TWU fear an election in the first place? The TWU does not believe in the workers right to choose representation.

Your spewing off at the mouth does not change the facts. Without major unrest in our Company or industry, AMFA has no platform from to operate a drive. Throughout the last drive thanks was given to several TWU activists by AMFA for increasing their card count. NO CREDIT was given to AMFA for supplying any substantial reason to join the AMFA except for the badmouthing of the TWU.


Reality = AMFA is a bottomfeeding organization run by a real-estate agency.

There is only one acceptable outcome; but it covers two different paths:
1) AMFA protests the list of potential eligible voters, wins and we vote; or,

No Vote, No Peace!

No AMFA, No Vote! AMFA has Big trouble! Failed to protect the members jobs at NWA. Allows SWA Local 11 to sign their own local contract allowing the company to farm out more work that permitted, just so Local 11 can have a little more overtime! Changes the contract at UAL without members approval and will abandon them just like they did the Braniff mechanics if liquidation is necessary. Volunteered to give up health benefits of UAL retires. Can't get a contract at ATA, Horizon or Mesaba! Gave up on negotiations at Alaska and went to binding arbitration. Will extend Teamsters contract at Southwest, not spending their time and money! Go AMFA, to Hell!

You talk about T.M waffling on a for vote 74-01M and then you assert he has gotten on board with reps. Well let me tell you something. Over the last few days I have tried to post on the mechanic and ask him or anyone willing to respond to the news articles reporting that UAL senior management has talked to ALL the unions about more concessions. I asked three simple questions. (1) Will there be open negotiations were all the membership can attend and participate? (2) I asked if the membership would get to vote on any contract changes. The third questions goes right to T.M function and ties to the right to work organization AMFA. (3) I mentioned that there were rumors of him retiring and if he was going to completely shut down his (AMFA's) page? He would not post my questions. No slander. No derogatory statements. The mechanic web site has run its course. It has outlived its’ usefulness. As a matter of fact it is becoming detrimental to AMFA. A liability. The Kool-Aid drinkers do not know how to act. It has nothing to do with the barging agent. They are rabid dogs that bite at anything that moves. Delle has trained them not trust any union rep. The fallout is what you are seeing. You can say you heard it here first, T.M. will go way quietly. McCormick will put forth the edict that he goes away. He has outlived his usefulness. T.M and Delle are disgrace to any person or organization that claim union affiliation. You can bet on the answer to the first two questions. Don’t forget Delle and his AMFA organizers at UAL and American said. “ You are better off in bankruptcy. The judge will treat us more fairly then the union (IAM, TWU)â€￾. Delle, AMFA Organizers, and T.M you reap what you sow. As for you United mechanics be careful what you pray for.

It is now revealed they're stealing Members Back Pay!

Below is AMFA's Tax Return for 2002, note the section high lighted in yellow, AMFA claimed as revenue Members Grievance Back Pay! Pay is defined as due return for services rendered! AMFA didn't work for that pay, you did, why should they keep your money! Looks as if AMFA serviced your rearender, to the tune of $281,098.00 Dollars!
