BridgeGate

Obama/DNC taking him out for 2016.

Washington (CNN) -- Just days after dismissing two top advisers for their roles in the George Washington Bridge scandal, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is facing questions over the use of Superstorm Sandy relief funds.
CNN has learned that federal officials are investigating whether Christie improperly used those relief funds to produce tourism ads that starred him and his family.
The news couldn't come at a worse time for the scandal-plagued Republican, who is facing two probes into whether his staff tied up traffic near the country's busiest bridge to punish a Democratic mayor who refused to endorse his successful re-election bid.

I'm starting to wonder if the republicans are not behind some if not all of this.  The core of the RNC do not want to run a moderate.  People like Christie, Rubio and others are more centrist and have a greater likelihood of winning an election but they do not pass muster for the radicals in the RNC who are the ones who vote in the primaries.  I would expect to see more republicans out fighting for him.  I know Ryan and Paul are happy because that paves a clearer way for them to the ticket.  I know the dems are happy because this paves the way for a Ryan, Paul or Cruz to the ticket.  I just cannot figure out why the moderate wing of the RNC is not out there trying to fix this.

Why assume it's the Republicans setting up Christie, two years ahead of time no less?

Christie is definitely more of a threat to whoever was nominated by the Democrats. Especially independents on the east coast. The media is extra-empowered right now to shoot down anyone who might stand in the way of a three-peat.

If/when they knock off Christie, watch for them to square off on Scott Walker and Bobby Jindal next.

I don't see Paul Ryan on the ticket for anything other than his current job until 2018 (should he decide go after Tammy Baldwin's Senate seat) or possibly Governor, should Walker get elected to higher office.

Biggest motivation would be money. Get Christie out now and the money that would go to him will go to others. I know the dems dont want him to run. He's a viable threat. I also maintain the RNC core does not want him to run because he is to moderate. He has a lot of enemies and he has not even announced.

Whats so special about Bobby Jindal?

Like Christie and Walker, he's a two term governor, and unlike those two, also served two terms in the House.

Jindal was vetted during the 2012 primary cycle, and has no apparent baggage. I'm sure Team Clinton will try to manufacture some form of a crisis or scandal to taint his reputation, but if the Dems in Louisiana couldn't find anything during his previous elections, it won't be easy.

Nor a viable candidate for the POTUS! He just happened to be black!

COTUS specified 35 and a natural US citizen. Sorry that the GOP put up a less desirable candidate.

We would be in our second term of President McCain if the electorate had not heard of Sarah Palin.

He's also a governor of a state that is consistently in the top ten for crime, highest murder rate, and has the highest incarceration rate in the world.  And the schools suck.

And yet, Barack was a state legislator & Senator for a state that is consistently in the top five for crime, highest murder rate, and can't seem to catch all the thugs committing the crimes. And from firsthand experience, the schools, roads, weather, and taxes suck far worse than they do in Louisiana.
