What's new

Bush's fault......

No you have not. You pulled a "what if" out of thin air and want to debate over it. Good luck with that.
the fourth amendment was trampled. I HAVE to use a what if, since you don't seem to understand the intent of the founding fathers. So I have to give you something near and dear to your heart. You think "that'll never happen". I thought it would never happen to the other amendments...but it did. Why is the second different?

Trampled over your "what if" that hasn't happen?

Dear to my heart? How would you know what is (or is not) dear to my heart? Are you on drugs?

Lets debate it, if it is ever to be proposed. Till then you are wasting time and energy. There are much more pressing issues to debate over then your made up "what if's".

You'll never get it dapoes. The fourth amendment was there to protect citizens from unwarranted search and seizure. The founding fathers didn't wait for a "nobody's been hurt yet"...they didn't want to grant the government that power. THEY were the ones thinking "what if" when they wrote the damn document. They put it in an amendment and also put specific language on how to change the document that it is found in. That intention was trampled.

You are 100% correct. I don't get it why you are fretting over a made up "what if" scenario pulled from thin air by yourself. I find it entirely pointless, much like a majority of your posts.

Well...it wasn't pulled from thin air. We've cracked open the fourth amendment. I'm sure the founding fathers weren't quite sure who was "British" and who wasn't, as we all looked alike back then, yet even so, they felt that it was a bad idea for the government to conduct warrantless searches. You've been brainwashed by the hard right to believe that only the "bad guys" are affected. Trouble for you is...one day we might have a government that determines that YOU might be one of the "bad guys".

KC,

Give up on dapoes! Lost Cause my friend.

Freedom & Liberty must be defended at all cost not so much from the forces of evil that lurk from outside the borders. Rather the vigilence must be turned inward towards those who seel to erode said Freedom & Liberty one tiny piece at a time, often in the name of security.

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
Benjamin Franklin

If you're not ready to die for it, put the word 'freedom' out of your vocabulary.

You better look real hard beyond the fourth............the whole ten yards is dumped at one time or another and the Pat Act ain't the first issue.

Were did you pull that out of? Adopt a terrorist club?

Im sure those that are intent to bring harm upon US citizens couldn't give a rats arse.

Well...it wasn't pulled from thin air.
Yes it was.

Dapoes...okie dokie...we've got a democratic president and a democrat majority in the house....let's say that they determine that guns are bad because terrorists use them, so they decide to ban them. It gets everything needed to pass as a proposed amendment...just not ratified. Are you now feeling safer?
That is what I was referring to your "what if". You wanted to argue about something that you pulled out of thin air.

You'll never get it dapoes. One day you'll wake up to some jackbooted thug knocking down your door and going thru your things...perfectly legally, since someone deemed you to be a 'threat'. And you'll sit there going "But...but...but...I haven't done anything" But you'll need to remember the "what if's" I've been talking about. Because unless you are willing to say that the government is perfect...the door's been opened to make you one of the bad guys.

You don't care about amendment 4...I'm guessing you don't care about any of the others.

Oh my the drama! I do care, however I choose not to fret over phoney/fantasy liberal outrages like yourself.
