What's new

BYE BYE ALPO

Well we could be furloughing again.
We could have another terrorist attack using aviation interests again.
We could be on the doorstep of declaring bankruptcy next month.

There is a lot of things that could be worse than our current pilot group standoff.

None of those "worse" things are under a pilots control. 🙄

And you could add a terrrible illness in that list. The truth is...all of those events you just mentioned would be worse for an east pilot, having been on the bad side of a windfall.

Oh yeah...do the guys on the West know they will soon be under the umbrella of a new union?!!

Current events, as of today, pretty much make that a given.

Best,

Greeter.

Odell has definitely not left. There's also no "QT" on his line which there would be if he'd given notice. This rumor seems to surface as often as Nigerian princes wanting to send you money for safe keeping.

So, you have access to that information? Is "QT" a common appellation to the line?

If you should not have access to such info, perhaps you should consider resigning from your management job before you are fired for posting information normally considered private.

I wonder what your HR dept. will do? Moron.

I think that is a common function in Maestro, the bid software in use out west. If you know someone's # you can look them up. I don't think that is generally available in CATCREW, but I no longer remember.

So, you have access to that information?
Yes, as do all AWA pilots. In fact, this was also the case at TWA and American. If one prefers to restrict his/her line from viewing one only has to ask a chief pilot.
Is "QT" a common appellation to the line?
Only when a pilot has quit.

Hmmm, in light of my responses who is truly the moron? Get a grip.

Any pilot out West has access to that info not just management. Check your facts before you start the name calling. It makes you look less intelligent.

We work for 12% less than you do and pay more for benefits than you do. We gave up 40% of our profit sharing to give you an equal share.

You're darn tootin you should be grateful.

A320 Driver

Not AWA's fault or problem that you work for 12% less you want more sign a contract! 40% for which you would have had 0% without AWA so yeah you all owed it to us for helping make it possible...

Would you please learn how to reply to posts? Most any third grader knows how to do this, are you somewhat, um, challenged?

It appears you are replying to a third party. In fact, those of us with the maturity to understand, um, desperate behavior, see in your haste that you tried a knee-jerk reply, then forgot to add something, throwing it together anyway, much like a Tempe project, hoping nobody would notice.

With experience comes seniority which is a sign of maturity.

From acorns grow mighty oaks. Try to not be a pit.

WHAT????? Who can ever follow your constant babble about nothing but how old you claim to be? That tempe project you talk about puts money in your fellow east employees hands in the form a paycheck!! Now there is something you would be missing without that tempe project.

ALPA has a choice. Dump the "award" completely and keep all of US. Don't dump it, try to modify it, and lose all of US.

------------------------------------------

No, they don't. None of the above options are available to ALPA.

Pure unadulterated arrogance.

Nor do I think anybody is phased by the East's latest bully/scare tactics. So far, the East MEC is about 0 for 5 in being able to deliver on their rhetoric.

Oh, making a definitive statement before the fat lady sings. You sound just like Baghdad Bob.

Let's tally up the AAA MEC's list of losses so far:

1) Positive space travel for union officials. They had it, the company took it away. They've spent the past year or more trying to get it back by not allowing committees to meet with the company west of the Mississippi. So, the East committees have been totally unrepresented in matters with the company. Boy I guess that must have the company quaking in their boots.

2) Date-of-hire / longevity based seniority integration. No additional comments needed here.

3) Overturning / renegotiation of a final and binding seniority list. Well, I suppose there's no fat lady on that one yet. I'll be sure to report back on June 26th.

4) Extortion of a "fences" agreement from the West. It'll never happen. We'd rather never see the list implemented than spend the rest of our careers giving in to East demands.

So far - lots of rhetoric - no results. Sorry snark, it was your MEC that failed you, not Nicolau, ALPA, or the West guys. But your MEC IS doing a good job at deflecting blame from themselves, and I'm sure they're glad that you haven't given up on them.

Can someone tell me why again the AAA pilots weren't given access to the daily arbitration hearings transcripts? Perhaps there was something said there that might've managed somebody's expectations?

The same reason why they're not telling their pilots that the list can't be overturned.

Not arrogance at all A320, its fact. Without AWA you would have not had profit sharing period. Case and point, prior to this past check when was the last time you saw one hmmmmm??? AAA was losing money faster then MC Hammer so stop with the BS about arrogance. AWA helped make it possible to get that profit sharing 😉

Because the east MEC micro manages every aspect of their operation. If you have a thought that is against theirs and you hold a union position you will be fired Watched it happen. Just ask Doug Mowry when not in the presence of the east dictators (reps).
