Celebrate CLT-CDG

Hmmm.....wonder what they'll do for GIG? Carnavale? Maybe the Mime will come back.

We'll see what is done for TLV.

They can re-decorate the shopping arcade between B-C to look like Dizengoff Street. Or Ben Yehudah Street.

And they can build a wall of Jerusalem stone around A-West, and serve felafel and hummus.......and chocolate spread (not necessarily together). And "salat." (That is "salad" consisting of tomatoes and cucumber chopped in very fine pieces.)

Oh.....and transportation to A-West will be courtesy of Egged Bus.

Boy.....maybe I should fly to PHL to be present for the launch of the TLV service. I would hate to miss the festivities.

I thought it was an Airbus that was going to work it or is it staying 767? How senior was the crew or did they pick a special crew for the first trip back?

Don't get me started on this one. It is a 767 and a PHL crew. We don't pick crews at US Airways. We believe in seniority, unless you are from AWA. I can't wait until the first 767 breaks down and the company has to cancel the flight because no f/a in CLT has a visa. Of course, Tempe probably thinks you need a real Visa credit card!

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I too have wondered what the back up plan is when they need to restaff that bird in CLT. For what it will cost them to deal with a cancelled flight due to lack of crew they could pay for us to get our French Visas. On a brighter note I'm happy to see the CLT-CDG back. I remember working one of the last trips in 2001. I can also imagine the looks on the faces of all in the CLT briefing room when the PHL gals showed up to fly this trip.

I heard the hissing all the way to South End!!
If the flight attendants would finally get a Joint Contract that didn't always tie pilots and flight attendants together (like every other airline ), then it could be staffed with PHL pilots, if necessary, and CLT Flight Attendants. Seems like a really inefficient system paying deadhead pay to 8 or 9 Flight Attendants, both ways to/from PHL.

That or they will build 4day 5day trips with transatlantic built in and PHL gets all the trips. This company has a hard time keeping a crew and a/c together when things go wrong. I can't imagine them trying to get a a/c, frontend crew and backend crew together.

Well, you're preaching to the choir on that one!
