Yesterday US Airways chief executive officer and president Bruce Lakefield recorded a new message for employees. I urge every employee to call 800-873-2459 and then select prompt 4 to listen to Lakefield’s message.

Respectfully,

USA320Pilot

Time to show this to corporate communications as that is meant for employees only, not broadcasted all over the web.

700,

I haven’t listened to the message yet but whatever Mr Lakefield has to say is more than likely going to get out and into the media anyway. Besides had USA320Pilot decided not to start this thread people like me would not have even known there was a message to be heard.

USA320Pilot is trying desperately to save his butt at our expense, whatever is going to happen is going to happen. Let it go, move on... life's to short to worry about the posting of a phone number and a message that more than likely tells the employees how bad U needs more concessions.

If the company goes down, presumably it will be at your expense too, unless you know you have employement alternatives that pay just as well.

If you do have such alternative employment lined up, a more constructive move on your part would be to resign from US Airways now, not after you've pulled the company down around you. That would seem the least you can do for those who have no such alternative (most of whom aren't pilots) and therefore are working to ensure the survival of the company.

If you have no such alternative employment, then pulling the company down is totally irrational, even sick.

700, It is a 1-800 #!!!!!! ANYONE can call that #. You dont think media/reporters already listen???? These boards are getting really bad!!! People are desparate!!! Did you call corp comm yet?? <_<

If they really wanted it to be confidential, they'd make you enter your employee ID.

I like the point in His message that say " We have GREAT GREAT GREAT Employees" , well Mr Lakefield, how about you treat us that way ?

How exactly is he mistreating you...? Do want a hug or something 🙄

The man is doing what he can, to get the company to survive. I would rather have his honest approach than the Dave BS or Steven's block of cheese.

The only thing different between Lakefield and Siegel is the frequency range of their voices.

Don’t kid yourself, the employees are not as stupid as you believe they are.

Rico, the man needs to run the Airline. He has no plan except to take what little bit we have left. And let me ask YOU a question. Is he, Mr Lakefield, giving us the tools we need to serve our Customers the best they ( Management ) can?

I beg to differ 700UW . Those messages are is his way of commuicating to employees AND the media. You should know more then most that it is all propaganda.

By the way I have never called the number and never will

Really? PIT is drawing itself down? GoFares just magically appeared? Point to point flying just happened when pilots got lost?

These are decisions coming from upper management. It looks more like a plan than rearranging deck chairs.

Those were all Dave's ideas, if you go back and read the articles before Dave was fired, the BOD approved DAVE's Plan to transform the company, not Lakefield's plan as he had none and still does not.
