Parker - NW

Bethune - Western Airlines, one of the greatest airlines.

Delta merged with Western.

Hmmmmmmmmm.

Bethune - Piedmont...The Greatest Airline Ever! USAir told Bethune to hit the road after the merger in '90...could this be Bethune's revenge?

I wasn't aware that he was ever with Western. I knew that prior to joining PI, that he was with Boeing for some time. When he came to PI, he was a VP of Mtc. I believe. His position at the top was only a brief one meant to fill the void from when Howard left, and the operational merger took place.

Why would Bethune want revenge against USAirways?

Parker is NOT from Piedmont/USAir!

He has nothing to do with PI/USAir or anything that happened there anymore than current Delta management has to do with screwing over the men and women of Western Airlines in 1986.

One of the greatest airlines ever? Then you must be familiar with Gerald Grinstein. You know, former President and CEO of Western Airlines. Currently CEO of Delta Airlines.

Yes,yes,yes. Bethune worked under Grinstein.

I find it ironic that the you proclaim Western one of the greatest airlines and the very man that ran that airline is the one fighting yours today.
As for the second part of your statement, I don't speak ebonics. Perhaps you could teach us. You appear to have a good grasp on it.

What the heck are you talking about? Ebonics? This is about Western and Delta. Or do you belong to a group of domestic terrorists known for wearing the cleanest sheets?

...And, how exactly did Delta screw the men and women of Western airlines? Oh, you mean by raising all their pay scales. The nerve of those Delta jerks!

Doug Stealin-Continental=NWA

We generally breed the most dangerous snakes in the grass.

Parker started at AA
Wolf started at AA
Plaskett (Pan Am) started at AA

And some others. It seems that AA has the distinction
of being the Airline CEO training simulator with Crandall
as the instructor 😉

That was only after the 80's

Most of the old guard...Pan Am, NWA developed and promoted from within. Juan Tripp ran PAA from inception till retirement. Nyrob did a long stint at NWA as well.

During the years of these great leaders NWA and Pan Am enjoyed their most profitable years...perhaps that is the problem. Things went south at each airline when they brought in outsiders.
