Chaos

Deleted by author. My question was answered in another thread.

I am still on voluntary furlough until August, but lately I have been in touch with several of my flight attendant friends and colleagues who are currently still flying. From what they have told me, the sentiment out on the line is that most have accepted the fact that the pensions will be turned over. While nobody is happy about it, they understand the realities of the market place and what is needed for United to secure exit financing.

Based on what I have been told from the line flight attendants, it seems to me that there is a disconnect between the recent actions of the AFA MEC leadership at United and the flight attendants. Every flight attendant that I have spoken to has NO INTENTION of participating in a CHAOS strike.

Personally, I like Sara De La Cruz. I have met her on numerous occassions and I respect her intelligence and her dedication to the AFA. Having said that however, I think she is the type of person who thrives on causing a disturbance. She loves to stir things up.

Currently, I am feeling that tactics of the MEC leadership could be more detrimental to the AFA membership, rather than working to MINIMIZE further losses. I fully expect the judge to approve the handover of the pensions. Then what?

You heard right JAMake. No one I've met plans to participate in CHAOS. Union rhetoric, nothing more. There will never be a strike by the flight attendants, and you need willing participants to cause CHAOS....and no one is willing (that I've flown with)

It's not the F/A's I'm concerned with necessarily but the mechanics...everybody is pissed!

G.T. needs to give his pension back!

You all need to relax, everyone knwos how it played out here at US. Your mechanics and F/As are all bark and no bite just as ours were. Your pensions are as good as gone I know it sucks bigtime but there's not a thing you can do. Hang in there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
