So, I don't work at the ato, but I do work for the company in another aspect. Unsure about what these CLT elections were for, but I hope you all get someone new in charge there. While on 2 long layovers there just a week ago, I observed nothing but rude agents from the ticket counter to the gate. One gate agent making an annoucement about a delayed flight and "warning" passengers not to step away longer than 10 minutes or their seats would be given away! Her attitude over the PA was nothing but downgrading and disgusting. It sounded more like she was scolding a bunch of school children.
Not to say, some passengers can act like that, but with the attitudes I observed, it's a no wonder passengers HATE the airlines all together!!!! If you're that unhappy, then leave, but let's start talking and sounding like intelligent people and respectful toward those that pay our paycheck! Cut out the "slang" talk, speak humanely to our passengers, and perhaps they will actually respond with some sense of responsibility and respect back.
I'm sorry, but hearing the complaints I hear, and now observing the attitudes first hand at the ato's, it actually appalls me! I could guarantee you this much...if I was a supervisor hearing the agents I did last week...every one of them would've been written up, if not fired!
On a brighter note: Gainesville agents...impeccable!!!!! Great job reaccoming people on a flight delay...respecting everyone...and being on top of things!!!!
