Isn't this part of why the Republicans in the North Carolina legislature wanted to take CLT away from the City of Charlotte and form a multi-jurisdictional airport authority?    Airports in the hands of city officials often equal corruption, like in Chicago and Los Angeles.    

Of course, the state-favored airport authority wouldn't end the corruption - merely move it away from the Charlotte Mayor.   😀

Frankly, I don't care who runs the airport authority... provided whoever it is fixes the DAMM ELEVATORS, MOVING SIDEWALKS, and the ESCALATORS.   WHY THE HELL ARE THEY ALWAYS BROKEN!!?? 🙂
