I booked a trip ORD-FRA on Flight 84. It says its a 763, but no available seat maps available. I also heard that FRA was going to the 777. Could that be the reason?

That flight is always full. My daughter and I used to fly back and forth to FRA and I preferred ORD-FRA over the DFW-FRA. The IOR crews were always superb and the service impeccable.
It was going to be a 777 for about a week or so. Then they changed their minds. It is going to stay a 767. The 777 is going to now do an ORD-MIA-ORD turn. That way it can be a spare for the morning Asia and LHR trips. There are 3 777 flights between 0900 and 1105 everyday.

Call me a geek, but I'm always fascinated by how the airlines schedule their aircraft. I enjoy reading stuff like this here.

I guess I will be on a 767 then. Looking forward to it. I flew on the 763 when AA first received them from PHL-ORD. I wanna say it was 1994, but I am not totally sure on the year. Thank You.
If it was 1994, that was perhaps almost six years after AA took delivery of its first 767-300.
Great airplanes, but the 787 makes the 767 a dinosaur.
