The fourth privately-run Chinese airline carrier, East Star Airlines recently launched its business operations in Wuhan formally. On 19th, May, the maiden flight of East Star reached Shenzhen; The next day, East Star started operating routes of Wuhan-Haikou & Guangzhou.
For this phenomenon, industrial analyst commented: "East Star has broken the limitation that only state-owned airways could operate the so-called 'mainline routes', which sets up a milestone in China's aviation field." And, as the first civil aviation airline company in the central China, East Star appears to be "exceptional" in many aspects. The reporter feels during the interviews in Wuhan, albeit the launch of East Star looks very smooth, but it has encountered many obstacles that the old pattern lays obviously.
