Merry Christmas all! Our lovely station management provided us with a half cooked turkey, some crackers, pre packaged mashed potatoes and a veggie platter, for 16 people on our shift. How did all of your stations do?

That turkey looks just about cooked as well as the one we had here at SNA! Our meal consisted of trail mix, cheese&crackers(left over from irreg ops on Mon I may add) and microwave mashed potatos...yum yum what a "traditional holiday" meal that was! If we knew it was going to be like this, we would have planned our own potluck. Happy Holidays all and to a wonderful New Year!

Mmmmmmmmmmm!!!! That is one tasty looking leg ya got there!!! I can almost hear the poor clucker's little tendons tearing.

I'm sad for that turkey. And I'm sad for you guys too! Did you order a pizza or some Chinese food?

As much as most of us on this board like to beat up on US and its management, I don't think you can blame the undercooked turkey (or any resulting illness) on Dougie and Scooter. They do so richly deserve the blame for many things indeed, but not this. Blame the vendor.

I wouldn't blame them for this... I was blaming our lovely managers here that cant even throw out a couple of bones to the dog on a holiday night. It wasn't so much just that the turkey was undercooked, is that there was only enough food (save the turkey) for about 5 or 6 people when we had 20 people or so during the afternoon/evening period. I actually give the company credit for trying to feed us, just sad that our great managers cant even execute a simple meal.

I must admit that PHL had a nice spread for the crews leaving and returning at the int'l crew room. It was catered by Boston Market: turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, niblet corn, corn bread, brownies and soft drinks. Food was good, and appreciated.

warm bagels and creamcheese for breakfast..am shift had that. did NOT want biscuts and heavy gravy..not sure what the pm shift had.

Wow! Boston Market, Thats Awesome. You know, we have one of those here in SNA and maybe if we're good Fleet/ Customer Service Agents next year we may get Boston Market next Christmas from our management too.

Places like PHL, PHX, CLT, etc get economies of scale. It's easy to get someone like Boston Market to come out on Christmas day, feed hundreds, and make thousands. In a smaller station with 30 employees working all day it is very difficult to find someone who will cater something decent for 9 bucks/person (which is the allottment) on Thanksgiving/Christmas day. It's not worth Boston Market's time to try and prepare food and pay its employees for 300 bucks total. I used SkyChef once and it wasn't very good. I'm not sure there is anything magical about turkey and dressing any more anyway. Seems like my station would be more appreciative of pizza on a random Friday when they are getting hammered as opposed to what can be drummed up on Christmas day just because it is Christmas. Most will be eating somewhere before or after work perhaps.

I have no idea who catered the PHX meal but it was served to us by management ( which in itself is a really nice gesture ) . We had some sort of spicy turkey which was good , along with garlic mashed potatoes , stuffing , cranberry sauce made out of real cranberries , corn , fresh vegetables and to top it off there were TONS of Carmel topped apple pies with pecans in them … delicious !

Wow... all of you want to complain...
I have worked here for almost 30 years...
and not until AWA mgt came here we were never offered a meal...
however.... we did get 100.00 each x-mas.... which would make it better then a meal...
then we got Wolfe and Gang...wall.. they gave us cookies!!! UM UM....
it cant get much better than that!????

Oh... I forgot...
Turkey dinner now...???

Thank God I was off!

PHX & LAS provided cooked turkey meals to flight, inflight, CSR's', ground crew & MX'. Yea, $100 bucks woulld be nice...but since we chose this profession and knew that flying over holidays & other special occasions was part of the deal...not too bad. I just wish that US Airways demonstrated the same care when attempting to complete contract negotiations. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL US AIRWAYS EMPLOYEES AND THIER FAMILIES & GOD BLESS'

PHX inflight did a FABULOUS job! Boston market had a huge spread for the crews...Turkey, gravy, corn, stuffing, carrots bread rolls and a carmel apple pie for dessert. I even saw them run food to a few crews that could not get upstairs to their flight.

Our PHX inflight management team did a great job, and even our new Base Director Brenda was there handing out food, as were many of the inflight supervisors.

It was nice to see Pilots and the east based crews join us upstairs.

Happy Holidays!

The PHX ramp used to have Boston Market cater for Tday and Christmas. Great stuff! But this year it was "Chef Dion" or something like that, I'd say it wasn't nearly as good but still better than nothing.
