The quiet area of the CLT C club is a nice alternative to the smoking area that used to occupy the space. Is there any rumor or hope for an Envoy lounge in that space now that there are a fair number of long haul international flights?
Whereas THERE SITS a former USAirways Club on "D" concourse in CLT (I believe it is vacant), this would be a good move on the part of US to reopen this Lounge for ENVOY Class pax. There has been a significant increase in Int'l flying out of CLT and the Lounge could ALSO be shared with Lufthansa and their First/Business class clientele. The ENVOY Lounge could be operated like the one in PHL...........for Business Class O-n-l-y on TRANSATLANTIC/TRANSOCEANIC flights. This Does Not include jumps to the Caribbean where many pax have 'whined and complained' that THEY were NOT allowed access to The Club in PHL. The ENVOY Lounge is a BIG Investment and Commitment........allowing ANY ticketed pax the use of these facilities would be a wasted effort if they RELAXED the INT'L ONLY requirement. Another Lounge would be good though. The quiet area of the CLT C club is a nice alternative to the smoking area that used to occupy the space. It was used as a crew room for some/all the Express carriers due to lack of space in E-Con. Don't know if that's still the case or not but haven't heard of any change.

Jim:
To the best of my knowledge it is a Mesa crew room. Not sure if any one else shares it.
