In a way it is a good thing for US Airways, which might follow suit if these aircraft are proven to be profitable and popular on the East Coast.
If it is proven profitable????? I think's already proven to be a money makin machine!!!!!!! It doesn't have to prove anything!! The numbers speak for themselves!!!

YEEHAA! Good for those guys. Flying a brand spanking new Q400 for the wages is too cool. Maybe we can all fly those one day and make that kind of pay. The more we get the longer it will take everyone to make it to the majors. Majors=Joke!Reads like Colgan may operate as many as 45 brand spanking new Q400s under the Continential Connection colors.

I'd fly it out of EWR. I will never ever drive thru NYC again. Not my cup of tea. This is nothing more than wishful thinking, but I'd love to see the Q400 run the ISP-EWR run like they did with the ATR42 a few years ago. I seem to recall they were always full.
There is a precedent--such as LAX-SNA on UA, also LAX-ONT on UA.
That could give CO alot of business from Long Island-to places where WN doesn't go.
Then again it will probably never happen .....
