Commiefornia allows college aid to illegal immigrants

SACRAMENTO (Reuters) - California Governor Jerry Brown on Saturday signed a bill giving illegal immigrant college students access to state-funded financial aid, the second half of two-part legislation known as the "Dream Act."

The controversial measure, which passed the Democrat-controlled legislature on a party-line vote in September, represents a victory for immigrant-rights activists ahead of the 2012 presidential election. California is the nation's most populous state.

In a recession, cutting gooberment workforce, laying off teachers, foreclosing properties, reduced tax base, incredible unemployment and now we have 'extra' money for this nonsense.

What part of the word "Illegal" di gooberment do-gooders fail to grasp?

It's time to take those dipshites at TSA and make them Border Patro; amd ICE officers and round up all 12-15 million of the criminals and send them back from whence they came and tomorrow would not be to soon a time to start.

States have the constitutional right to decide what they're willing to pay for! HOWEVER if the feds round up every illegal then it gets real tough for CA to fund their education.

Libertarians favor open borders. However until that concept becomes the law he are duty bound to enforce those laws that are on the books.

Just curious. Why do you think it is that neither party has made any substantive effort to place sanctions on companies that employee illegal workers? It's a very easy fix but corporate america hs spent a substantial amount of money to ake sure that the politicians they bought and paid for to the line and maintain the status quo. That along with the fact that americans like the cheap labor that gives them cheap products.

There is a significant group to "We The People" who are weighing in at the state level. We have a national election coming up and again "We the People" may have an awful lot to say regarding the so called cheap labor. They're here in violation of Federal Law and the lawmakers who overlook the law may just be overlooked by the voters.

The importance of the Tea Party isn't so much their fiscally and socially conservative agenda ir is the grass roots nature and unwillingness to engage in politics as usual that gives them clout beyond their numbers. The Occupy Wall Street Folks have yet to find their voice but both groups organized will force the had of the political class and with a little luck force them out of office, replacing them with true Citizen Legislators bent on having an actual debate on the merits of the various issues of the day.

Imagine a Congress full of people of integrity like Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich. it would be an ugly scene but in the end we the people would be served.

I'm just wondering where the state of California is going to get the money for this.

So your against the libertarian position on open borders?

I am not against illegal immigrants. Here in CommieFornia we have a lot. I believe since they live here that their children should be able to go to school as well. Most are hard working people just trying to survive. We allow them to live here but will not give them a driver’s license so they can’t get liability insurance and believe me they still drive.

I find it paradoxical that we are willing to help fund their higher education but not give them a driver’s license.

I have no idea where they will get the money. Probably lay off more teachers. 😱

Libertarians favor open borders as do I.

Now then are the Libertarians in office and the existing laws repealed? That would be a "NO"

Ergo, being a nation of laws and not of men the POTUS and the AG are bound to uphold the Current laws until such time as they are changed.

So for the 13 million or so here illegally, Bon Voyage, See Ya, Don't forget to write, gee we hardly knew ya now get the F*ck out! Oh and take your b*stard kids with ya!

That kind of contradicts waht you said and I quote "It's time to take those dipshites at TSA and make them Border Patro; amd ICE officers and round up all 12-15 million of the criminals and send them back from whence they came and tomorrow would not be to soon a time to start."

The law is the law. It's not a tough concept to grasp. Would I like to see a different law? YES, do we have a different law pending? NO, we don't. So until we do we enforce the law we have rigorously.

Actually the TSA is a prime example of what I mean. Far as I'm concerned they are a complete and total violation of American Ideals if not American laws. Let them use their heavy handed tactics. Do it, enforce the rules until the population rises up and demands changes to the law. Same concept with immigration. Enforce the current law rigorously in order to force it to be re-examined.

While I favor the concept of open borders I am not sure how that would work in our current war mongering world.

I think Bush was going after companies pretty good then Rocky Bama stopped it.

Not really. Had he gone after any companies we would not have the issues have now. Bush came up with that silly wall and I believe he had his own amnesty program (although that may have been someone else) as I recall but that's about it.

So like many other libertarians you are not so big on the details on how your grand ideas would work. Do you let everyone in? What if thye show up at the border and have an extensive criminal history, do you let that person in? If you answer no to either one then you are not for open borders.
