Holy sh*t!!! Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse than the twu flag flying under the compAAny flag on the same pole.....this!!!!

Burdchette should start the twu 514 officers wearing blue shirts with ties.

If I didn't see it with my own eyes.......

Twu Company unionism.......the worst I've ever witnessed.

Heaven for bid that the company and union are in unison! Unions are tired and over in this day and age.

Yeah, they're in unison all right, both of them have a hand in my pocket!!!!! Jim Do-little gives himself a raise in 2004 while the unwashed masses suffer. I'll agree one union is over, and its the twu.

What's tiring and sickening is greedy CEO's and management that screw their employees while the company stagnates in bankruptcy, and they walk away with millions in bonuses, stock options and act they deserve it.

It really is NOT shocking that the TWU is a company union.

We have known that for sometime now.

What is shocking is the brave display of all out proof that removes doubt from even the TWU shirt and hat wearer.

"Unison" and "coming out of the closet" are two different things.

I don't think so SG. If you look into what going on in La-La land (Tulsa), you have a company union fool for a president that states; "Damn right the twu is in bed with the company". Then they have a pajama party love fest to prove it. Then they hatch a still born child (breakthrough goal) of making an unreachable $500 million in revenue with 3 party maintenance in 18 months. When this goal fails, and it will, the compAAny will come to the twu company union and say; "Say honey, since you bought into this mess with us, your going to be mostly responsable for failing to reach our $500 million "breakthough goal". They will give Jim Do-little a wink, and the $200,000+yr god of all Dispatchers will come a calling; "Gee guys we're heading to Chapter 7 liquidation again, and if you don't take this.......

Unfortunately, the twu company union logo is only too real.......

Do they have enough empty hangar and shop space to perform $500 million worth of third party work in TUL?

$500 million annually equals 890 mechanics on each of three shifts at $90/hr - a reasonable outsource rate. Certainly room for 890 mechanics, right?

I was wondering if they had extra bays and shops to do this proposed work because I know that TUL is the biggest mx base and a large portion of the AA fleet is done there.

Bringing in outside heavy chks is just one way of reaching the 500mil goal. It also involves reducing turn times on our own checks to put planes back in service. The Terminal is trying to pick up other airlines line maint.
AA fuelers getting contracts with other airlines.
Stores finding ways to reduce inventory.
Fac maint doing things cheaper.
Manufactuing our own parts when cheaper.
Bringing in outside Landing Gear and Engine work.

Pretty much anything we can do to save money or bring in outside revenue counts towards the 500mil goal. Maybe this all seems a little too optimistic but at least we're actually TRYING to protect our craft! I'm sure its much easier to pull on an amfa T-shirt and whine about life!

...so, of the 13 responses, how many of you receive checks from a union?
