Compaany Unionism Proudly Displayed

The crib notes are put out once a week and distributed thru the tool and supply rooms. The picture denotes the effort the TWU is doing to keep AA a float. In order to keep work in-house and keep jobs we are taking control of our destiny.

The Amfa is jealous of this fact and is making up issues to try and discredit anyone who looks outside the window.

CIO:
The problem with the TWU/AA lovefest is not that the TWU wants to preserve jobs.

The problem is at what cost?

Insourcing and job preservation are important, but when the company determines that this is no longer enough and come back with their hands out, how much is enough to give back?

Did you ever stop to think that the TWU's primary concern, like most unions, is union dues, not quality of work and life?

CIO,

This

denotes nothing. A logo, a t-shirt, a hat does not accomplish a damn thing in the corporate world unless it is advertisement. The TWU is NOT a business, and your butt kiss logo is NOT an advertisement. You and your type are like high school kids putting faith in mascots, slogans, and logos. Grow Up will ya?

Just WHO is the TWU anyway? I hear you speaking of the "TWU" on many occasions. WHO IS THAT?

Funny, I dont remember anyone campaigning on a company union platform during the officer election process.

I have copies of Burchette's campaign material and it reads considerably different than the actual leadership he is providing.

Was there ever a vote my the membership to sell out to the company?

Earlier you have said we saved 12,000 jobs and three maintenance bases with the restructuring agreement.

Now you claim we must sell our souls to company unionism to keep the airline " a float".

You sellout company suck ass, you are a willing participant in the complete destruction of unionism and the labor movement. Not to mention commonly an identifiable liar.

Since when does the high school drop outs running this union have the know how or ability to outwit the Ivy league grads(except Aprey-UT) and keep the worlds largest airline a float? AA pays good money to so-called "top talent" to come up with ways to keep this airline a float. When you actually believe that your efforts and concerns are being addressed by the big wigs and you feel they are actually interested in your views on keeping AA a float, all I can say is SUCKER.

After you're done keeping AA a float, why not fix the government, their in the hole for billions too. I'm sure they'll listen to you also.

Now looking "outside the window," please, you need to not only look outside but also get some fresh air. You've been in bed with the compAAny with the window shades closed so long, you've lost all touch with reality. Bottom line, if you're going to act and be one with the company; accept whatever proposals that the company offers at negotiations, and threaten to fire workers on behalf of the company; stop collecting dues money.

You are so full of hot air!! Amfa is busy doing EXACTLY the SAME THING AT UAL with whats left of their maint dept!!!! They call their program "LEAN". Look it up sometime.

AAmech,CIO,TWUer,etc., When AMFA walks out on strike are you gonna cross their picket lines? Will you be a TWU scab mechanic? When are you gonna help your fellow Aircraft Mechanic's fight for their profession? Will the "mighty" AFL-CIO do the right thing and call for a national airline strike to stop the B.S. in this God forsaken industry?

When I see AMFA wrapping their logo around the companies logo, I'll be concerned. Being "Lean" and admitting that you're in bed with the company and proud of it are two completely different things. So I take it that your proud of the new logo.
BTW...when you going to update your lowest pay, USAIRWAYS has been that for awhile.

Kinda of a Hypothetical question don't you think? I have my doubts that del Femine and his vaunted attorney Seham will allow a strike. Do you have any idea what this would do to his dues income? Not to mention the financial liability Amfa would incure should they violate the Judges TRO.
And even if they do Strike why is now MY job to help bail out amfa from this mess that THEY are heavily responsible for creating? Remember the "VOTE NO, lets take it to the Judge" campaigne? Didn't work out quite like they hoped now did it? That 7% pay cut they were offered looks mighty fine now! As far as I'm concerned the Amfa "Profession Wreckers" can bail themselfs out of this disaster!

Its not BEING Lean. "LEAN" is the name of the UAL/AMFA program to improve the efficiency of UAL's maint dept. Its a joint union management program that studies what other companies are doing plus takes the ideas of the UAL mechs actually doing the work. By your definition I'm afraid we'd have to say they're "In Bed"!

As far as that logo goes I'm not going to lose any sleep about it. I've got nothing against the TWU and I actually like working for AA!

You are an idiot, and a liar!!!
'Lean' is being implemented by UAL management.
AMFA is only protecting the membership by being involved.

What part of profession UNITY dont you understand?

You let your opinions about bargaining agents get in the way of your support for fellow mechanics and then have the nerve to call someone else a "profession wrecker".

You best go back to school and learn about the labor movement and how worker gains have been made in the past.

It is union members like yourself that wreck professions while hiding behind some lame excuse that you justify in your own mind.

You are one step away from full blown scab.

AMFA is not a thing, AMFA is your industry co-workers in your profession.

This is just great! You don't have a problem with a Corporate/Union logo being displayed as one. But you will not assist your fellow AMT's fighting to preserve their pensions. Go ahead ignore the fight, then you will lose your pensions also.

Maybe the logo should be altered to include a condom at the bottom of the winged bus steering wheel, to insure safe sex is practiced while the bed wetters engage in company unionism. Will Trojan brand be adequate for you AAmech?
