Was looking into thehub and noticed I have more than 8 companion passes. I had some left over at the end of last year, which would probably explain why the extra. Does anyone know how long we have to use any in excess of 8?

Probably has something to do with the ETC being down all day on the 31st.. They sent out a memo that were looking into how to rectify the problem.

YOU get 8 and EIGHT ONLY.. DO NOT ISSUE anything past 8. IF you do when it goes thru accounting you will be CHARGED FULL Y COACH for the companion TICKET.

Per the email sent out...
2006 GUEST PASSES

We had a huge response to employees wanting to book and pay for 2006 Guest Passes that were about to expire on Dec. 31. Due to this high demand and time zone differences, the system was not able to handle all the requests before we rolled over to 2007 Guest Passes. We're looking into providing an extension of time to use up those 2006 guest passes, so stay tuned for further information in the next several days.

So that maybe the way they will resolve this.
I have not gotten anything else new but will post it when I do...

Hey Lovethesun,

Maybe excop48 used to work at the LAPD before his/her employment with the Pass Bureau. I hear they're a fun bunch over there at the PB.

Oh don't get me started on the Pass B. Thise women that have worked in there for years... never answer the phone! They are always short with employees. I have gone down there many times at HQ. The cutest new people always go there and do ticketing and research for travel only to get treated like scum.. Welcome to our world! Best do it yourself and don't ask any questions or NO SOUP FOR YOU!

Here is the newest information regarding guest passes.
At least they are trying to be fair....
If you spent New Year’s Eve trying to ticket your unused 2006 guest passes for 2007 but couldn’t, you’re not alone. Due to high demand, the system was not able to handle all the requests before it rolled over to 2007. However, the deadline will be extended and employees will be able to book and pay for 2006 passes through midnight MST on Jan. 31, 2007.
Your ETC Guest Pass profile now shows your 2006 unused passes plus remaining 2007 unused passes. For example if you had four unused passes at the end of 2006 and you received eight passes in 2007 (and have not used any of them so far), you will see 12 passes in your profile on ETC.
Remember, Jan. 31 at midnight MST is the deadline to book (online only) and pay (either online or at a ticket counter). After that your guest pass bank will be restored to the 2007 guest pass allotment (minus any 2007 passes you may have already used).
Don’t wait until the last minute to complete your 2006 transactions – we cannot estimate how many employees will want to use these passes, so don’t be late and be sorry (again)!
As a reminder, you cannot change passenger names on these tickets, but you can change dates/times of travel and destination after you have completed ticketing and
tickets are good for use up to one year after the ticketing date.

This was exactly the same answer I got regarding the poor performance of the Consumer side of the web site. Thanks for the update.

Failure of the IT department should NOT penalize ANY employee except those who work in IT. IMO they should lose their excess passes for wreacking havoc on the fellow workers. Maybe then someone would pull their head out and start doing things right.
Yah, is this so called IT dept answering for the continuous mishaps on the website, and employee website? Or is it just written off to "merger integration" issues? If it were inflight, we'd probably have a few "come see me, and bring an AFA rep" letters in our files.... Unreal....

Tickets to the circus, anyone?
