Computers fail

IT is working as quickly as possible to solve the issue, but we do not have an estimated time for this fix. We will let you know when this function is up and running again.

In the meantime, if you are traveling on East metal, you can check in at the airports up to four hours in advance of your flight.

Mr. Magoo and Otis are up in the hills drink'n moonshine. I think this possibly explains alot...the Delta bid: drunk, QIK: drunk, A320 reconfiguration: drunk; who knows what will come out of the next bender and this "Mayberry" management team!

On the local news they stated US recommends checking in online however it seems during the migration the records became out of sync & I was not able to use OLCI before calling the help desk, so I would believe this problem is not just the Kiosks.
 
QIK over SABRE is not the same as SHARES the agents found this out the first time they work in SHARES
you can say that again!!! I am a former westie that actually stupidly believed that the stuff on qik over sabre would be coming over to the "new system"...what crock...I liked what I was seeing....now I feel like we have taken even more steps backwards. Am sooo frustrated rightnow...spent over 3 hours on the fon trying to rebook 24 FCO misconnects....was transferred from help desk to international to groups to international blah blah...back to help desk whom told me "good luck"....GOOD LUCK?????!!!! ALitalia wouldnt book it....transferred me to their groupo desk which was CLOSED!!!! Gave me a USA number....which was CLOSED for the day....I give up.....

fyi res is listing jumpseaters as sa9p....sa2p...anything they feel like it I suppose....makes more for us to do at the gates....and when you go to release the jumpseat...dont work......

I'm sure not trying to blame anyone. But I would like to know if this QIK application is the same one that Sabre advertises on the sabreairlinesolutions.com website? I'm guessing QIK is some kind of GUI interface that can be laid over any res system? While I'm sure there are similarities no matter what the underlying system is, I can't imagine that it works exactly the same way and looks exactly the same across multiple underlying res systems, but I could be wrong.

TOO FUNNY...but Otis would be working B where there is more booze and galley space to store it. I'll take living IN Mayberry anyday as opposed to living UNDER a rock, like this management team does.

another fyi here....have an issue with an entry?
shift f....a fix it keypad will pop up....they also have started a
"wish list"...send it to your mgr and make sure they send it in to IT....if yiou need an email to send it too PM me and I will send you a contact....already got the JPS and PSAcrew brief --think it is JPD?....entry...they will be sick of me if i ever get done.....

IF I had been able to get alitalia to book...how would I reissue it then? They do not accept etickets....would I rebook it all, push to paper and then reissue vs. the paper into new paper tickets? Or push it to paper, then rebook vs. the paper tkt creating a new paper ticket with the new rtg???? Anyone? I am honestly trying to learn...and quite frustrated....
 
This may sound too simple. But if web check-in is working, just go out and buy some computers & printers at Best buy and set them up in in terminal for customers to do a web check-in vs the kiosk. Use hnd written luggage tags. If and when they fix the problem have a raffle for the computers for each of the employee at that station one chance to win.

It solves the problem for now, and just a little extra for an employee to win a bisic computer and printer. much less of a cost than some re-routes on other airline
