Congrats Michael Sam!

Let me know when there is no one trying to trample my rights,
You have he right to be drafted into the NFL, all you need know are the brains and the body.  Get to work.

So much for the NFL.

Michael Sam is getting the Lindsay Lohan treatment ... as in, the openly gay football player is getting his own reality show on Oprah's TV network ... reps at OWN confirm.

The show -- produced by the same people who did Lindsay's show -- will chronicle Sam's journey into the NFL ... and we're told Sam has already been taping the show for weeks.

In fact, we're told Oprah's crew was in the room when Sam learned he had been drafted by the St. Louis Rams ... and clearly knew his big celebratory kiss with his BF would make for great reality television.

Oprah issued a statement saying, "We are honored that Michael is trusting us with his private journey in this moment that has not only made history but will shape it forever."

Unclear when the series is set to debut -- or how the Rams feel about the situation.

Here's a guess. Not thrilled. They won't say so, of course. They can't say so. But Jeff Fisher surely doesn't want a bunch of production people from OWN hanging around his OTA, training camp and preseason practices. He's a complete incompetent if he does.

If being homosexual truly was normal, nobody would even be talking about him being in the NFL same goes for homosexual marriage or relations.  But alas, it's NOT normal no matter how much Hollywood or media tries to push it as such.  This topic on this forum wouldn't even exist if it normal.

Lots of things were not 'normal'. Women owning property and voting. Blacks wanting around d free. Inter racial marriages. Schools where all people were welcome. Marriage equality will become reality. Just a matter of time. Hop on or move over. Your choice.

I already told you that homosexual marriage will be allowed, its just a matter of time and dates.  You should be very happy and rest easy ok?  It will never be considered normal however.  If it was so normal you could give all the sodomites their own country to exist and do as they please.  But would their lifestyle be able to procreate and continue to exist? Nope.  Another thing I've noticed is most all of them have some sort of alcohol or substance abuse, mental health issue ect.  Not fundamentally sound people imo.

When did you become an expert on homosexuals?

It will come that public sentiment wanes for this clown as info from the OWN show shows he set out to exploit and profit from his gayness before he was even drafted. The media circus will plague camp....he's already on the low level of NFL skill sets from his performance at the combine.....he gets cut.......no one wants the hoopla with the package......he goes free agent and doesn't get picked up..........now it becomes a racial issue from the gayness crowd.

The league might not be pleased with him having a reality show while under contract. It might become a distraction.

Substantial abuse? Metal issues? What a crock of unmitigated BS.

Because a majority of the state legislatures and governors are against it
You are making the statement that the majority of the state legislatures and governors are against it but the majority of the public is for it. Do you realize how stupid that sounds?

most folks who are for marriage equality will not be bothered to go out and vote for it.  Does not apply to them.
What does that tell you?

That and the fact that it violates the 14th so the courts have to do what the states will not.
Marriage has ALWAYS been the domain of STATE LAW

If you want to talk about what government does and does not do let's talk about Arizona having to enforce immigration law because the Federal Government REFUSES to do so.

If you want to talk about the Equal Protection Clause, let's talk about Affirmative Action.

When underutilization is found, placement goals should be established to increase the numbers of minorities and/or women, as needed.

In other words let's ignore achievement and ability and fill a quota, but let's not call it a quota let's call it a goal.

You mean the courts have imposed what Americans do not want...... again. You mean the courts robbed Americans of the legislative process.......again. You mean the Federal Government has trampled on states' rights on its march to socialization..... again.

On the other hand if a law is proposed that all 4 yrs olds should be able to drive then I have no problem with that as it treats everyone the same.

This is a very simple concept.  Laws must address everyone equally.

"...if a law is proposed that all 4 yrs olds should be able to drive then I have no problem with that..." Wow! The best descriptive term for such "thinking" is clinical insanity, just sayin'... 😉

Nice of you to weigh in with your always-expert-yet-dependably-erroneous opinion there, Dr. Phil. 😉

"Several studies suggest that gay men, lesbians and bisexuals appear to have higher rates of some mental disorders compared with heterosexuals, although not to the level of a serious pathology." This is immediately followed by the reasonable speculation that "Discrimination may help fuel these higher rates."

Point of order... You're wrong.

States didn't start to get involved in the marriage business until the Civil War years.

Before that, marriage was a matter for the churches or common-law.

As I've said countless times, we need to get back to that.

Gays wanted the government out of their bedrooms, so it's really not much of a stretch to ask the same here.
