I've honest sympathy for this youngster in advance. At the highest levels of any sport, well...being politically correct, or not, counts for NOTHING, and he's now willfully placed himself in the position of being the gay society's defacto "representative" and great hope, with only modest background accomplishments compared to his soon-to-be peers on the NFL's football fields. The odds are just not favorable for him. People sometimes rise to the occasion and do amazing things though, so only time will tell.

Uhmmmm even Fox News says 52% of Americans support same sex marriage, but I'm not surprised you're so uninformed

And some think the sh!t has hit the fan, already!
Just wait until the Rams decide to cut or trade him!

This will give ammo to the "bullying" crowds.

I have been very vocal about not accepting statistics and polls. They are based off of junk science and are too easy to manipulate

The survey by the GOP polling firm Wilson Research Strategies was of Republican and Republican-leaning independents and was taken over a month ago, sampling 801 people nationwide from March 18 through 20, with a 3.5 percent margin of error.

The survey showed 82 percent agreeing with a statement that marriage should be between “one man and one woman.” It also found that 75 percent disagreed that “politicians should support the redefinition of marriage to include same-sex couples.”

A number of influential Republicans and elected GOP officials have voiced support for same-sex marriage, and public polling has shown independent voters increasingly supporting it.

I have proven to you before a poll was funded by a liberal foundation. I have given you 3 examples on this post of why I don’t accept statistics and polls.  The first was poll was taken by a right leaning company. It said exactly what they wanted it to say. The second was poll was taken by a gay rights organization. It said exactly what they wanted it to say.  The last one produced a number that was vastly different than yours.

They can’t all be right can they?

I have made my case. Statistics and polls are tools of the media to influence the weak minded. I see they found a target in you.

If so many Americans support gay marriage why is it being IMPOSED on the American people.

I am not overly religions (as I have stated many many times) and I do not agree with gay marriage. Your argument is flawed.

Then you are turning a deaf ear. I have made a post on this very forum referencing just that very idea. I even stated in that post that I would view that as an "acceptable" compromise. Gays wanting to call it marriage is just a component of their agenda to normalize their deviant behavior in the public eye. You hear what you want to hear. You hear what supports your atheist agenda.

Next you will be telling us a four year old should be able to drive a car because making them wait until they are 16 to get a state issued driver's license is biased. Preposterous.

Would you make that argument for an incestial couple seeking a marriage license? I bet you would. Because you are warped.
If you are going to quote me at least put it in context.  With out the link to Eolesen comment my reply has nothing to do with what you want it to mean.

The religious right does not agree with marriage equality and they are the majority advocating against it.

What you and a few other are proposing is not what the majority of the people against marriage equality are proposing.

If someone proposes a law that only certain 4 yr olds can/cannot drive a car then yes.  On the other hand if a law is proposed that all 4 yrs olds should be able to drive then I have no problem with that as it treats everyone the same.

This is a very simple concept.  Laws must address everyone equally.

Incest?  Right up their with pedophilia and bestiality.  Signs of a lost argument.

Alleged violations of the False Claims Act and the Procurement Integrity Act
In July 2013, the United States Department of Justice announced that Gallup had agreed to pay $10.5 million to settle allegations that it violated the False Claims Act and the Procurement Integrity Act for conduct involving several of its federal government contracts and subcontracts.

Gallup is in the media game. They do what sells just like any other media company. They are hardly above reproach.

You need to read what I actually said. I was referring to the last time you posted a poll making that very same claim. I do not know where you pulled this polling info from (I assume Gallup).
Washington Post

Santa Fe NM

Gallup

LA Times

Pew

Hell, even FOX News has a poll showing that 49% of the US favors marriage equality.  Are they bias too?

There are countless others but I guess they are all in cahoots with each other.

And yet when you look at the accuracy of polls taken by Gallup for elections they are remarkably accurate.  Just because you do not believe in them does not make them unreliable.  Yes it does matter how questions are asked and that is why you look at several polls.  Or as in your case you can ignore them all and deny reality.  Different strokes for different folks.

Because a majority of the state legislatures and governors are against it and because a most folks who are for marriage equality will not be bothered to go out and vote for it.  Does not apply to them.  That and the fact that it violates the 14th so the courts have to do what the states will not.

Using a single survey as a data point will always be skewed based on how the questions are framed.

Looking at multiple surveys helps mitigate that somewhat, but can still be skewed if the questions are framed in a similar manner.

Let me know when there is no one trying to trample my rights, concerning the 2nd, then we'll talk about dog's right to marry a man and everyone being on board with that!
