Its so pathetic that they are peacefully excercising their rights under the Constitution that offends you.

The pathetic part is your 'Progressives' are the ones who wish to do away with and trample our protected rights.

I imagine you are tickled pink when the likes of Reid,Pelosi and Schumer call these demonstrators Nazi's, Brownshirts and the like.

You should be proud to watch your supported party imlode before your very eyes and wake up to the fact that thanks to them....America is waking up to her true core values that this country is founded upon.

This rally would have been more to your liking if tanks showed up and gunned everyone down I suppose.

You're exactly right that the beauty of this nation is the first amendment protections that we have which make it clear that we as Americans have the right to say exactly what we want. What's sad - yes, pathetic - is that people running for the highest office in the state of Texas are successfully appealing to conservatives by saying that they HATE AMERICA.

This is not some crazy old preacher or some guy at a bar; these are people in positions of authority and, again, running for the republican nomination for the highest office in the state - and there are hundreds of people standing there cheering. You'll also note that not a single conservative on this board has bothered to post a message condemning these views. IMHO, that shows how quick they are to turn on their own country just because they lost a presidential election.

I started this thread because, frankly, I was sickened by the bile these candidates were spewing. Apparently, it really doesn't bother too many others on this board. I guess its okay to campaign on "hating America" now. That's a shame. (I wonder if they were wearing flag pins???)

Why Does Nancy Pelosi Have a Problem With Patriotic Music?

If you've ever been stuck on hold with a congressional office in the past, at least you've been able to enjoy some good patriotic music, as opposed to the lilting tones of generic smooth jazz that have been driving elevator users insane for decades. For years, congressional offices have played patriotic anthems as the background music during hold times.

Not any more. After we were startled by the hold music when we called a House office recently, sources on Capitol Hill informed us this week that the Democratic House leadership (Nancy Pelosi) has made a sweeping decision that congressional offices now have the options of "smooth jazz" elevator music or no music at all.

I can see why Michelle couldn't be proud of a country that gave her and the Moron the opportunity to fulfill their dreams and be what they wanted to be. Funny.....I didn't hear anyone saying they hate America.....I heard people distancing themselves rightfully so from present policy being instituted in DC......obviously you can't tell that.
