Consolidation

So where is it written that AA requires deep concessions? I haven't seen anything, AA hasn't stated so. Only you seem to be posting it, and you cannot back it up with any hard evidence.

LOL - are you a comedian FAmikey??? You're too funny..................... AA states in every press release, unfortunately, you haven't been able to read between the lines.

Really I guess you are the only one who see's these. Can you produce one for us?

FAMikey, I don't have to do your research, it is quite simple though, take a look at any Press Release and you will see.. I am not going to copy a link here when everyone already knows what it says, you are the only that has a problem with it obviously... HIGH LABOR COSTS, does that ringa bell....

There is no such information press release and you know it. You lie and try to cover by saying everybody already knows of this press release. Its not true, you are lying and we all know it.

"beauty",

As F A Mikey so eloquently put it..."Oil prices rising/recession talk growing louder"...I agree with his prognostications, and that would cause AA to "Go on Full Alert"

The nano second that AA smells a M/A about to happen, would cause them to "act", And I DON'T mean running to a court house/BK.

See you have to cut us AArogant AA's some slack, because we've NEVER been tainted with the STINK of a BK, and therefore tend to be more hopeful/Combative.

It IS what it IS..beauty !!!

It's not about being hopeful/combative - and just because you haven't been "tainted" doesn't mean you won't... I don't know what AA will "act" on.. They more than likely will not play a role in future consolidation.. It will be DAL UAL NWA and CAL possibly US playing a large role in the consolidation... DAL UAL or NWA didn't feel the BK whip either until it happened.. You have to put yourself in the shoes of the investors of the company.. Not mgmt or Arpey, the investors and shareholders have the final say, if they want their money they will do whatever it takes to get it.. If there is a strike looming, I would bet you AA will file so fast it will make your head spin, maybe you SHOULD talk to some of the more experienced BK carriers reps, they will tell you just how fast it happened to them.. Good luck with the 35% raise though, I hope the pilots get it.. I hope the mechanics get theirs too...

With all your investor experience you can say this? Where was the say, and the rally cry by these so called investors when NWA, UAL, U, and others were pissing away money? They lost everything, the bulk of the ownership is by large institutional investors and used those loses as write off's and will likely do as much in any future corporate failure be it airline or any other company.

Now its you would bet, interesting a few posts back it was a guaranteed certainty. I guess this means you couldn't find the so called press releases to backup that post? How shocking.

Thats right FAMikey - you are right, you always are 🙄 I hope those lucky AA stews have you as one of their negotiators...

I see your grasp of wall street and the stock market is paralleled to your mathematic abilities.

It just can't help itself, can it?

Absolutely consumed with hatred for AA. Much deeper emotional and mental deficiencies surely form the basis for its complete inability to focus on the issues facing UA.

It is quite entertaining in its lunacy.

Blah, blah, blah... 🙄

...from a person who thinks that, somehow, a 3 percent company-wide across the board increase equals a total of 9 percent, and who has the nerve to try to justify it with some inane arguments.

...and a person who is so consumed by jealousy and hatred for AA employees that it won't admit that if AA employees manage to raise the low bar set by UA employees, ultimately, UA employees, too, will benefit from the enhanced industry standards.

Since neither your math skills nor your logic indicate anything past an IQ of 80, I sure hope that you at least have mastered how to pour a Coke, but based on what I have seen UA hire in the last couple of years (scraping bottom), I'm sure you are not much good at that either! :up

MMPI

This test might be useful for you, and since it is written at a 6th grade reading level, you should have only moderate problems navigating it.

435 Members of the US House of Representatives, 100 Members of the US Senate: absolute control of the US Aviation Industry.

Talk of "consolidation" within the industry ignores the fact that 535 ELECTED Politicians all have a greater stake in "Ma and Pa Kettle getting cheaper tickets to Disney" than they do actually allowing business to function as a business and Unions negotiating higher wage rates.

"Consolidation" in the airline sector is the siren song sung by the beautiful girl you never actually get to take home.

More carriers, absolutely; less service through consolidation: never.

StrAAight, you prove to us over and over again just like your other fellow posters how emotional you are and how easy you are to play, your like a fiddle... start singing the sad song, and while your at it, throw in some hateful comments to compensate for your low self esteem, it seems to work on this board for you... --- I just love you guys, I wonder what other ones will crawl out of the tool box before its over...

Nice try, lady, but it won't work. It is YOU who is so emotionally overwraught with hatred against AA and its employees. You keep proving it time and again.

You are, indeed, very predictable. Time to play a new song. This one's gotten old.

What a loser!

The Street.com: helping traders make money on trades.

Is it any wonder that a trader wants quick money? Is it any wonder that those selling advice to traders' advocate that which brings in revenue?

Among Major Airlines, over the deregulated industry period, how many carriers have been allowed by Congress to consumate their nuptuals absent a "prima nocturne" clause robbing the suitor of the most sought after prize?
