Continental Says It Won't Bid for US Airways, Dow Jones Says

HOUSTON (Blomberg News) - Continental Airlines Inc. Chief Executive Officer Lawrence Kellner said the airline isn't interested in bidding for US Airways Group Inc. if US Airways' planned merger with America West Holdings Corp. falls through, Dow Jones reported.

Kellner made the comment in response to a shareholder's question at ontinental's annual meeting yesterday, Dow Jones said.

Kellner said the airline is still negotiating with its flight attendants union about pay cuts and work-rule changes to reduce costs after attendants rejected concessions in March, Dow Jones reported.

Makes sense, espescially given the fact that Bethune is actively going after United from his office in CO HQ....

Didn't Gordon the Blowhard retire? or are you under his desk providing oral favors?

Bethune is still retained by CO as a consultant, and continues to maintain an office in CO HQ in Houston. The second part of your statement is a troll comment that deserves no further response.

Bob -

Exactly what did he say in this thread that "annoyed and inflamed" you? Your comments and attacks seem way out of line in this thread.
