Does anyone have information on a discount card for purchasing CVS brand NON-prescription items in a CVS pharmacy? It seems that months ago there was a memo out that if we shopped at a CVS pharmacy and bought their store brand stuff that we could get an extra discount.

There was never a convenient CVS Pharmacy nearby, so I ignored it. Now there's one across the street, and I can't find any info on TheHub, eBenefits (called them,) or the CVS/Caremark site.

We got a memo back in Dec. stating a few changes to our prescription benefit plan. We can now use CVS for mail service or just pick up your long term meds at the store.
There was nothing in this memo about getting a discount for other CVS products.

Thanks. What I am recalling was from way before December. I think it happened about the time that CVS bought Caremark, or vice versa.

Again, it had nothing to do with prescription medications. It talked about purchasing CVS-brand products in a CVS Pharmacy.

We received a discount card and key tag in the mail. I didn't save it because there is no CVS in our state so I can't look up the details for you.

CVS has a discount card much like many grocery stores do,if you want one just go in there and get it

Hey NYC!! Indeed a card was sent out. I'm Retired from the Cockpit & over 65, so my benefits were terminated, but my Wife has coverage 'till 65. We received the card in the mail, unsolicited, and she uses it in place of the one that we picked up at the store. I cannot locate the brochure that came with it, but the discount on CVS Brand items was the additional benefit. The front of the card says:

CVS | ExtraCare
Caremark| Health

U S Airways
BENEFITS US

On the back it says: Questions call 1-888-543-5938

I have it and use it. Works great. It's just a different version of the red card they offer to the general public. You should be able to call and get them to mail out a new set of key tag cards.

I'm not sure if you can link a phone number and then stop using the card. Key tag cards are easier to use than wallet cards, but still a pain. Makes the keychain bulkier IMO

Thanks, PHX-F/A. The card you are using is the one I was seeking, not the one that anyone can get in any pharmacy (as someone so helpfully suggested.)

I called Caremark's number for USAirways employees and they said they would send one. As Luvthe9 said, with this card we can get 20% off CVS brands of items that would be eligible to be covered by our medical FlexSpending account, thereby stretching even further those tax-free dollars. The generic card offers no such discounts.

Thanks, Dan. You do the same thing I have a tendency to do: Send an answer before reading the whole thread, only to find out that it's already been answered.

But I do appreciate your help, anyway. My card is already on the way.
