I cant vote to send the furloughees down the river. Also the 5 years agents get screwed hard by this contract.

5 year agent and the poor folks on retirement. Besides management has taken no hits this whole thing stinks.
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO

Keep the NO votes coming..... This contract SUCKS.... Im just at 6 years and im taking another cut... I would be better off with the 21% cut for the next 2 years!!!!!! I am all for this company just closing the doors... If CWA is fooled and won't do it I pray that AFA and or IAM has enough brains to bring this Screwed up piss poor managed airline Down!!!!!1

Take a closer look at the numbers here people...

When the CWA first announced a tentative TA, I foretold that the vote would come in around 60% for, and 40% against. Well, guess what? This vote shows almost those exact numbers!

There are basically 4 options for a yes vote, and only one option to vote no, among these choices. Add them up, YES = 57%. NO = 43%.

Pretty close to my prediction, if I do say so myself.

If you add the numbers that way you are correct, BUT the poll is flawed. There is no option to say I vote NO BUT if it passes, I'll take the buyout and leave. Therefore you are counting the If it passes I'll take the buyout and leave as a YES vote when it could actually be a NO vote in disguise.
The question should be two polls.
Poll 1 Vote Yes
Vote No

Poll 2 If the Yes votes win would you.
Stay with current job
Take the buyout and leave

Its hard to get an accurate count with the poll the way its worded.

Remember, Not everyone that works for this company is a negitive as most who post on this borad. I know that 100% of agents in my station are voting "yes". Let the negitive folks leave and the ones that want to see this company move forward stay. Do you think for one second that most agents read this #$^@ on this board. This is where the negitive people of the company hang out.... Look in a mirror for once and do something positive with your life...

I think that the assumption that "if passed I will leave" means a yes vote is wrong. In other words they are saying that if passed they no longer want to work there, they feel so strongly against the proposed conditions that they will quit.

Maybe the if passed I will stay could be seen as a yes but not the other two.

So from the poll it looks like most of the people will vote no and many will leave if it gets passed.

No, i think it may mean that if it passes, I'm gonna take the parachute that they offer and get on with my life.

Then why vote yes? Better to vote no, let them liquidate, then be eligable to collect unemployment for a year while going on with your life.

Does the total package of the buyout equal more than all the benifits you can qualify for when being involuntarily displaced?

Thats each individual's choice. Some would rather take the buy-out and have a job lined up; they'd rather get on with their lives rather than sit on their fat a$$es, let a year pass by, and then decide what to do.
