What's new

day one of two day negotiations anybody have a clue whats going on?

This morning, TWU Negotiators and International Representatives representing Maintenance and Related and Stores members, met in New York City for mediated sessions with the company. Judge James Peck, another bankruptcy judge, was asked to oversee these voluntary negotiations by presiding bankruptcy Judge Sean H. Lane.

Judge Peck ordered the mediated talks to be confidential and not discussed in any manner outside the sessions.

The TWU work groups will meet again Tuesday June 12 for another mediated session. If no agreements or extensions to these negotiations are made, the judge indicated he would rule on the 1113 abrogation of our contracts on June 22.

Yea with the request fromTWu I'm sure!

TWU fear judge indicated he would abrogate our contract hmm guess they read minds now

About an agreement in these court sessions: IMO .... Past No vote was at 56%. So, for a comfortable Yes vote margin, they need 8%. What do they add to the agreement to get that 8%????? Whatever it will be, you'll see that we will still have OSMs in the hangar. Lets put a monentary value on that one.

It's an automatic no vote if a single OSM is put in the hangars.

We can not let this union or company dissolve our profession anymore!

Won't matter, US will be taking over AA by early next year. This management team will be out!!

One part of the agreement that has leaked out, is the requirement of "stretching exercises" before starting your day. This program has already started under the management team of Troy and Troy. 🙂

UA had the same thing! IIRC, started about the same time Glenn Hicks (ex-AA) was hired as GM for maintenance.
Did you guys already start your 'lean' training as well?
Good Luck Guys N' Gals!
B) xUT

We have been into Lean for some time. I bet you we have had more consulting groups in our maintenance program than you. Nana Nana na na!

ok the end of two days of negotiations. you would think that they would say at least no agreement, continue negotiaitions (the pilots were allowed to say that!) or is it top secret for ten more years?

Perhaps teAAm overspeed could convince us it's in our best interest to be kept in the dark by the TWU (in cooperation with the IBT). What I find absurd is the simpleton updates stating "negotiations will be/are being/were held" and the "Pass it on" statement at the end of the TWU514 updates.

Maybe better in the minds of TWU leadership, to say something about a gag order, then pass it along. At least they said something, albeit we didn't learn much.
Why the gag on us, and no gag order for the others? Will there be a regag tomorrow? Now I feel like gagging.......while waiting for the ungag order.
