What's new

day one of two day negotiations anybody have a clue whats going on?

Bob and Chuck are no leaders, they are two idiots that think they are leaders.
And the members that follow them do not have a clue.
Ouch ! I thought everybody liked Bob & Chuck ..... I guess you can't please everyone.
I suspect you work for the International their not so popular with them cause their not puppets like some of our Local 514 officers.

No way Man it is the Local Presidents that Negotiate the contracts & vote on whether to send them to the Membership & it is the Membership that keeps buying the bad contracts that the President's send to us the International has nothing to do with that process.
Ultimately it is the Membership that is to blame for our contracts because were voting for them .... Ugh.

The Presidents didn't vote to bring back what was just rejected, but it was brought back wasn't it? Who made that decision?
The fact is the International controls the process, always did at AA.

You seem to leave out the part where the negotiating team members get offers of lifetime appointments to $100K per year jobs in exchange for voting or selling a certain direction. How many appointees, including James C Little have advance in the International right after sellout? This happens in both negotiations and constitutional convention voting. I first learned of this directly from the late Ed Wilson in 1989.

You sounded pretty good until you opened your mouth. Offers of lifetime appointments - you must be smoking some of that funny stuff. BTW, I knew Ed Wilson and he was a good man. The only problem he had was he wanted an International job and didn't get one. He would have been much better than Yingst. Also, Ed believed AMFA was a joke led by a snake-oil salesman (Delle). He was right.

Yeah, word is the company pretty much said "we are not gonna rewrite this contract - this is it!" 2.6% DOS and then every 12 months for a long suck ass, six year POS contract. All Ream said was, "I just need 601 votes - and your dummies will fall for it"! I feel another NO vote coming.

It is looking like the International is taking our pay raises yet again to keep more dues payers. Thank you boys & girls for your chairatible contributions; however there will be no tax write off for you. You can bet that Jim Little, Bobby Gless, Don Videditch, and the rest of the TWU International parasites will get their annual 15% bump in pay next year.

All of the guys that voted YES on the last offer were under the illusion that they were going to get some kind of package if they retired. Well, now that the truth is out - I suspect most if not all of them will now vote NO. Then just on general principal for the company and union that hold it's employees in such low esteem as to present this turd - look for some more NO votes.

Ed Wilson was a waste of skin, and for that matter speaking of snake oyl - what about that two faced POS Ed Kosatek? Those two ass clowns give the name "Ed" a bad name

Ed Wilson ? Wasn't there a fire at the TWU Local 514 hall and the Big Picture was burned to a crisp and toasted the loaf of bread?

AA is playing the bluffing game. They know the membership is weak because we have weak representation. Threats and intimidation is all the company and our own union know how to negotiate. Someone posted here recently that abrogation is a better option. A six year contract is SCARY. I agree. We are an aged work force . Can we afford six more years of NOTHING but more concessions? AA wants to get out of BK with contracts in place. So lets get a real contract in place. The creditors are pressuring AA, USAir group is threatening merger and AA wants to be a stand alone company at the time of BK exit. The company is being pushed closer to the wall as everyday passes by. The company keeps asking for extensions. LBO after LBO. Pilot offers get better after each LBO. They need pilots and they need maintenance. That's Airline 101.

Now wait a minute Bob I know your not saying that normally (not in a BK situation) that the President's don't have a roll call vote to decide whether to bring a contract back to the Membership, Every President makes his own vote he can choose to vote how the International would like him to but he can also choose not to as you do, this BK is NOT business as usual as we all know so I can understand that some things are being done differently, let's not mislead anyone that what is happening here is normal & that the President's in the TWU aren't the one's negotiating our contract then deciding if it get's brought back to the membership, we both know that is the case. The President's for the most part are antonymous & run their locals the way they want that is why Local 562 website is Waaay different that Local 514 website & why you & the other Line President's were able to make a vote no video while Tulsa didn't participate & Every none of the Presidents were removed from office by the International, yes I know they can & will do it under certain circumstances but the Presidents do have a lot of leeway to run their Locals their way.

If you don't see that the International pulls the strings to control the dues machine, then you never will !!!
