Deal or No Deal Mentality Strikes Again!

They are in discussion with Bom. for the new 100 + seat that was just given the go ahead. I think they will decide by the end of the year. It will be a huge order, I'm thinking over 150 frames.

Great news NxNW, about Bombardier.

As to my "discussions" defending NW's Global Reach, I FORGOT about the 787 coming "just around the corner" ! (MY BAD)

PS,
I realize this to be redundant, but that "MF'r" Steenland should be Executed for TREASON !!!

It would appear that the 9's would be parked long before those aircraft would be available. The article references a 2013 ready date.

That is correct. It appears that they will use the 87 CRJ-900 / EMB-175 ...76 seaters to temp fill the void. But hey, I am not in fleet planning. There is only an additional 6 320/19's left on order. Maybe they were planning on having us sold before placing an order. Big wrench in that plan.

Luv2fly,

"DL is the largest transatlantic airline and the second largest in the carribean an Latin America."

50% correct.

The latest ATW (March 2008) statistics show this order in the Atlantic based on RPM's

DL CO AA UA NW US

To Caribbean and Latin America DL is third

AA CO DL UA US

Delta is the only airline in the world to serve over 300 destinations--310 in total-fact

Is that DL? or are you including Comair, ASA, Skywest and the rest that fly for DL. Any of the statistics that the FAA publishes are received from DL with an * next to it. Read the fine print and you'll see they include the commuters. DL doesn't serve 310 destination with it's own fleet. Get the facts straight or at least place asterisk next to your "Facts".

Please forcefully tell your MEC that. We agree.

By the way... what is the Red Book, Blue Book, Green Book stuff about with your seniority list?

Each CBA at NWA has a different color cover, and is commonly referred by it (ie. the Black book for the ramp, Grey book for CSA's).

I may be mistaken, but I believe the Red book is for "original" Northwest Orient pilots, the Green is for Republic pilots, and the Blue is for "new" Northwest pilots (hired after the merger).

Now that's gonna be a real money maker.

And I guess you clearly know more than the Tech. industry, Nike (portland), Microsoft and the other industries based in the largest business center in India and Seattle/Portland.

Since, it appears you are unfamiliar with the regions of Mumbai and Sea/Port. here's a little Wiki for you:

Mumbai is the commercial and entertainment centre of India, accounting for 25 per cent of industrial output, forty per cent of maritime trade, and seventy per cent of capital transactions to India's economy.[3] Mumbai is one of the world's top ten centers of commerce by global financial flow,[4] home to such important financial institutions as the Reserve Bank of India, the Bombay Stock Exchange, the National Stock Exchange of India and the corporate headquarters of many Indian companies and numerous multinational corporations. The city also houses India's Hindi film and television industry, known as Bollywood. Mumbai's business opportunities, as well as its high standard of living, attract migrants from all over India and, in turn, make the city a potpourri of many communities and cultures.

If I can be of help in sharing with you the economic might of Seattle and Portland, let me know. That smiley face is cute! People do sometimes say cutsy things without knowing much about the intelligence behind a very smart business decision. In fact, this city pair was in the top five wish list for Seattle/Portland business leaders.

But then again...you probably think Atlanta-Mumbai is a bigger money maker than Seattle/Portland.

NxNW,

Maybe ATL/GA will have a "Houston like, Ship Channel" Dug from SAV to ATL, so HOT-LANTA can have some Marine/Port business too.

Why on earth does that matter? This isn't a line of flight discussion...it is where the DL brand flies. The customer books Delta. They don't care who is contracting and what the line items are in the contract. It is DL regardless of who they are contracting/using to fly it. Why don't you separate BEagle and CO Exp?

But then again...you probably think Atlanta-Mumbai is a bigger money maker than Seattle/Portland.

LOL....it does seem like everything DL does is out of Atlanta., but (for now) their route is JFK-Mumbai.
(I'm sure even NHBB would approve--oh no, nevermind..I forgot--only AA and NW are REAL airlines to him.)
🙂
