Do you have any links for Obamas quotes? I've looked but cannot find any. If you are going to post the 1998 quote please do not waste your time. Listing to the entire quote clearly shows what he is addressing.

When and how will Obama abolish Congress in order to execute his evil plan?

I dont argue that govt is inefficient and too big. I do argue that everyone should shoulder the burden of our govt equally. How you control it, manage it and shrink it can be argued but until then, I believe the price of being American should shared equally.

In that case, you don't have a problem with the people, who pay no taxes and benefit from government entitlements, police, fire, national security, schools, etc. paying taxes also? Sounds good to me !

So what makes you the empirical wizard on all things regarding economics.
You should check, the Euro is worth more.....LOL
Like I said, Libtards hate when the facts hit them square in the face !

i realize that. it is just me and my wife. Our witholding is 1.

but think about it, single people pay more than my wife and I do.

If we can live a comfortable life with a 22% "loss"(taxes) I believe people making 250k+ can too.

For the record, My wife and I make 160k. I am hourly and work lots of OT.

Being a liberal dem, I do believe a poor shmuck with five kids should pay less than his/her fiscal
peer. But come on, 13%? For someone who make 40% more than we do?

I call BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!

p.s. it is saturday and i am on my third gin &tonic. Please forgive typ-os
Why should myself and others be responsible for the poor schmuck, with 5 kids ?
Apparently said schmuck has made bad decisions in his life with bad decision #1 being, bringing 5 children into this world , with no means to support them !
I'll worry about that when he gets to them. I soppose I can refuse the OT and earn 3ok less but ,oh wait, i am not unionized and work in a right to work state. I guess I must remain a slave to my masters and also wait to see what happens after O get the 250 crowd.

Dont turn this into an argument about the boogey man. grow some balls. I am not afraid. Why are you?

Is someone holding a gun to your head, forcing you to be a "slave to your masters" ?

As for france, i have been there a dozen times, as recently as six months ago. I dont hear them whining. Like Americans, they have their problems but are generally a happy people. The numbers you listed dont seem to bother them. I question your understanding of there tax code. I think your numbers would have come up in conversation over a lunch time wine break.

I work in France.... you're not listening very closely if you're not hearing the complaining. Maybe you're just not meeting too many people earning in excess of 100KEUR...

There will be a degree of out-flux to escape taxes. Monaco and Dubai are popular right now. I know of a couple of high-level executives who chose to retire and live elsewhere and work & consultants.

Others like actors, artists, and sports figures will no doubt take advantage of loopholes which allow them to work and live in another EU country with a French passport. There's no restriction I'm aware of which prevents me from declaring London as my residence, but working ten months of the year in France. That's an EU stipulation, and the UK is on record as rolling out the red carpet for anyone looking to relocate.

Like you said "I heard it on talk radio, found it online, and proclaimed it true".

Who holds a gun to your head to spend six hours a day listening to drivel? At least he is doing something productive.

So.... it's good to have people making important decisions based on the six seconds or minutes they spend listening to NPR or CNN, but it's bad for people to actually spend more time actually discussing and analyzing the issues?

Interesting perspective. Kind of goes along with your Twitter-like posting style. If it doesn't fit in one or two sentences, it's not worth reading or understanding, right?

Mark the above quote on your calendars folks.............it's a first, since Wonder Dog has been a member, that he's been able to churn out more than one sentence !
I'm sure it took a lot of his time and energy, luckily in his case, very little brain matter to churn out not one , but "TWO" sentences of drivel !

Twitter-like style hahaha

The french rates are split up using a how many in the family scale, each adult counts as one and the first 2 children count as 1/2, then any additional children count as 1. So using that and figuring you and your wife you would hit the 41% tax rate. If you have 2 kids living in the house you would be 30%. Once they hit 18 and move out you would be back up to 41% under their current system. However now that they have inposed the 75% tax on income above 1 mill it is generally assumed that higher rates are coming for the rest of the levels also since just taxing the few hundred in france making over 1 mill does nothing for their debt problem...just like taxing those making over 250K here (Obamas millionares and billionares) does nothing to help our problems here with the rampant spending he is doing. In france there is an additional 3% added for those making over 250k and an additional 4% for those over 500k.

For what it is worth for 2013 in the US, if you are currently withholding 22% as you stated you will end up paying tax and not getting a refund most likely. your 2012 tax rate for your income is 28%, and after deductions probably ends up a bit under 22% as you said. For 2013 your tax rate is 31% for your income and you have lost a bunch of deductions. Which deductions you may or may not take of course I cannot say but looking at our tax code that is already on the books my guess is you will be hard pressed to get your final rate below about 27%. These are tax increases that are already in place under Obama either through letting bush tax cuts expire or new tax changes contained in the Obamacare package. Sorry but no the "new" taxes are not only limited to those making over 250k And someone of your high income can fully expect a lot more from a second term.

Now toss in your state taxes (RDU=NC) pops you with another 7.75% on top of that for your income level (2012rates) assuming NC does not raise their rates along with the feds you will be paying around 38% giive or take a bit depending on deductions.

I fully expect the federal tax rates to be in the 50% range for somebody with your large income by the end of a second term of Obama. Remember to him 250k is milloionare and buillionare, 49k is middle class (the average income in the US) your 160k while not a millionare under Obama speak, you for sure fall under the "well off" catagory and are ripe for the picking....after all we cannot have all these people living large on 160k a year when there are so many middle class people struggling to get by.

Mark the above quote on your calendars folks...........

Some people can talk for hours on the radio daily, repeating the same stuff their brain dead audience wants to hear because it is easier than thinking.

The ones who listen to them are even lazier.

Oh, you mean like Al Franken on Air America? Oops that couldn't be right as that network went out of business due to POOR RATINGS!

People listen to talk radio for a variety of reasons as simple as they can't find a music station they like. Another is the views of the host match their own, In the later case it would seem that a blanket critique/insult would be typical liberal arrogance and that unmistakable attitude of IKE (I Know Everything).
