I have just one comment: who the heck told these guys to button up their suits the way they did?

PIlots have never been known for their sartorial splendor.

Hey, at least they own suits. The last one I got was 1981 and the one before that was a lime green leisure suit.

I think they look great!

Far out Man!

I think you are correct. The MOU will not address seniority.

Seniority was addressed in the T/A. A ratified MOU is a new contract voted on by the US Airways pilots. Voted separately from the American pilots. The MOU completes the requirements of the T/A and implements the Nicolau.

Step one!

Step two you are partly correct. The APA, the only union that will be representing US Airways pilots will Arbitrate a reasonable seniority list using the APA list and the now ratified and implemented Nicolau list.

The process is defined by the term sheet. Go read it. The timelines are laid out in that document.

The APA will be the new bargaining agent before seniority is complete. The APA wants nothing to do with the liability or the use of a DOH list. We will have a joint contract and an implemented list before we get to arbitration.

No, no Nic- cause we are never going to get back together, ever........

A joint contract does put us together.

I have asked a couple times with no answer. How, by what process does the east get DOH?

An MOU or joint contract implements the Nicolau. The Nicolau and the APA list going into the arbitration.

No doubt about it. The nic is a done deal now.
Take it to the bank.
Cash the ticket.
No doubt about it.
Good for cleared direct.
Great news for him.

Those east pilots must be dumb as rocks. If only they knew the NIC was a done deal they could have cried.

Subject: Kids, eh?
KIDS
The boss wondered why one of his most valued employees was absent but had not phoned in sick one day. Needing to have an urgent problem with one of the main computers resolved, he dialled the employee's home phone number and was greeted with a child's whisper. ' Hello ? '

'Is your daddy home?' he asked.

' Yes ,' whispered the small voice.
May I talk with him?'

The child whispered, ' No .'

Surprised and wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked, 'Is your Mummy there?' ' Yes '

'May I talk with her?' Again the small voice whispered, ' No '

Hoping there was somebody with whom he could leave a message, the boss asked, 'Is anybody else there?'

' Yes , ' whispered the child, ' a policeman . '

Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee's home, the boss asked, 'May I speak with the policeman?'

' No, he's busy , ' whispered the child.

'Busy doing what?'

' Talking to Daddy and Mummy and the Fireman , ' came the whispered answer.

Growing more worried as he heard a loud noise in the background through the earpiece on the phone, the boss asked, 'What is that noise?'

' A helicopter ' answered the whispering voice.

'What is going on there?' demanded the boss, now truly apprehensive. Again, whispering, the child answered,

' The search team just landed a helicopter '

Alarmed, concerned and a little frustrated the boss asked, 'What are they searching for?'

Still whispering, the young voice replied with a muffled giggle...

' ME . '

Figured out how you are going to avoid the Nicolau and get DOH?

Can you explain the process?

Would you like the answer sent directly to Marty Harper or are you forwarding it? Not going to make it that easy for you. Not sportsmanlike.

For you westies the NIC is a figment of your imagination so don't even think about it what you should be concerned about is Hummel losing alot of money for this entire pilot group, the good news is that maybe this management team will be shown the door soon. When we find out the details we need to be sure to thank the "compass correction" folks. They are the ones responsible for putting in Hummel and Weidner. It sounds like are CLT reps saved us big time, we all owe them a special thanks.
