What kind of delays/cancelations/nightmares can we expect at PHL this Fri thru Sunday?
Thanks!

Anyone who posts in this topic should be warned, management trolls the boards and I would not be surprised for them to try and nail anyone who posts on a thread with this topic.

Probably have their lawyers getting the paperwork ready to subpoena Kevin and Kyle.

oh, that is going to win you a lot of points and favors

the bottom line is that US is totally unreliable these days and you should prepare for the worst and hope that you can at least get where you are going

"My name's Curty
And it might be a sin
But I'll take your bet and you're gonna regret
'Cause I'm the best that's ever been"

That will be the "one of the best" bashers of management. Look me up in your retiree records. How many Curt's are there, come and take me away....That way I can become like them, "rich" after the law suites are settled.

Listen 80 people out of 10,000 and 200+ out of 5,3000 is not a union sanctioned sickout.

This is very true but you can't tell these morons the facts as they drip blood from their fangs with hate filled posts at the unions, which are the U employees.

Self righteous morons totally blinded by a management team you has them brainwashed and exactly where they want them.

Good, we need to take care of people who are involved in this kind of activity once and for all...don't you agree?

I agree. If it was, the union really has no clout with its members; otherwise, the numbers would have been greater.

However, the bottom line is that what happened last week, wherever the blame lies, has driven away many of your most loyal customers. Can someone from Res tell us what bookings are like these days, and how many people are asking for paper tickets?

UMMMMM 700 you keep repeating that , but lets look at the story closely! How man on a shift called in sick, narrow it down. There was not 10,000 iam employees sced to work one shift. If 300 were sced and 50 called in sick???????? DO the numbers!

DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH

The union "IS" the members so you are saying they have no clout with themselves.

They are people, you know normal people who hate being kicked in the teeth constantly by an ungrateful and very pathetic management team who loves to deflect blame with the help of a few morons on these boards.

oh please--if it is that bad, they should quit--that is what "normal" people do.

They can't, they're stuck. They have no transerable job skills, obviously that is why they stay. They have no where to go that they would make equal or more than they do at U and they are smart enough atleast to realize this. But this does not stop them from moaning and groaning and feeling sorry for themselves. They need a place to go to bemaon their fate and this board is it.

Read this carefully. Here is a post from Crushed on another thread regarding the number of sick and UNCOVERED lines in PHL.

80 of how many *PHL ramp workers* called in sick?

I do work in PHL and can give you an appro. number.
There are about 450 full timer agents and about 200 part time.
Let's say 80 called out sick.....could be absorbed.....could still operate.
But Wait!
there are 60 uncovered lines every day....before a single sick call.
That puts the number of missing agents for the day at 140!

These are the straight facts.....
Usairs staffing model gives us 2.5 agents per flight.
Spread over 15 gates on B-con and that's 37.5 people.....or 12 three man crews...with 1.5 people left over.
With flights on all gates, (on CCY's paper this never happens but in PHL the gates are always full!) that still leaves 3 gates with no one to work!

Now for real life!
B-con gets between 25 and 32 agents on any given day. You do the math this time!
A 3 man crew cannot turn a 6000 lbs. offload and a 7000lbs. onload in 50 mins.
We don not have enough tugs (that run!) in PHL for every gate to have one plus tugs for the bag runners and tugs for the bag chute. So you have to wait for tugs to be available.
Same thing goes for belt loaders.
This weekend when managers staffed the bag chute they had 7 people per carousel....we get 4.

This is NOTHING new in PHL. But US does nothing about it! The bubble may have burst this past weekend but it didn't go away! The bubble is just filling up again and we are bound to repeat ourselves unless CCY finally takes action!

Admit it CCY...... LISCO'S STAFFING NUMBERS ARE CRAP!.....fire him!

I'm tired of explaining it to you....the door is open....come see for yourself...

To the pilots who come down on the ramp this weekend and offered to help load bags....THANKS!
To the ones who sit and look out the window and ####.....Sit!
