US AIRWAYS BEATS USPS ON-TIME PERFORMANCE GOAL FOR 30 CONSECUTIVE WEEKS!

The performance goal set by the United States Postal Service, one of our valued customers, is 93 percent on-time delivery of the mail to its respective cities. US Airways has met or exceeded the 93 percent on-time performance goal for the past 30 weeks (7 consecutive months), transporting an amazing 44 million lbs of mail! A streak of this length is unprecedented for any major commercial air carrier. US Airways currently transports mail between 51of US Airways domestic stations and 8 international stations, and carries approximately 20 percent of all domestic mail that is tendered to commercial carriers. US Airways Cargo would like to thank all the employees who have worked so hard to make this happen.

Nice job, mail people. Keep up the good work. People need their bills they can't afford to pay to arrive on time!

Mail has been scanned for four or five years to track it.

Any idea when bags will be scanned?
I saw them scanning the bags at the aircraft as they were being loaded last week at MSY. Is this a test or are they starting this everywhere?

I think the scanners are being phased in, so not all stations will start using them at the same time.
