Trans-Atlantic Streak

ARLINGTON (theHub.com) - US Airways’ streak of completed Trans-Atlantic operations topped 1,500 on Thursday. For 64 consecutive days, US Airways has completed every one of its Trans-Atlantic network operations.

"It's wonderful that we have stepped up our performance on Trans-Atlantic travel, especially with the summer travel season almost upon us," said Bob Maloney, managing director of operations control and planning. "The operational improvement we have made at this airline over the past several weeks really speaks to our tremendous capability to overcome whatever obstacle faces us."

MidAtlantic Airways has also posted strong completion statistics. On Thursday, MidAtlantic achieved its tenth 100 percent completion day in May and its 32nd 100 percent completion day this year.

MidAtlantic Airways! How come I can't seem to find any airline called MidAtlantic Airways? B)

Amen, Light Years. Ya know that "can of worms" we've talked about. Well, the worms are reproducing and sooner or later somethings gonna burst.

Of course, the easy solution for the powers that be is a sale to Republic. A lot of thorny issues for ALPA disappear and the company takes the $110 million and walks away. Only the MDA folks are left with the mess.....
