Rumor is Virgin USA is in talks to purchase slots and assets from U and DL.
VS purchasing both the DL and U shuttles from DCA/LGA and BOS this would give VS the gates/slots and breadth to dominate the east coast.
DL facing cost structure that has them treading closer and closer to BK will be in a selling mode. DL is finding itself in a pinch since UAL did not die as they had hoped. (This statement was posted on the UA pilots forum and taken from a memo sent out by a DL pilot manager)
Anyone heard any more on this?
