well, Kev, mainline aircraft have more than just DL pilots and FAs.... you do realize that DL has one of the world's largest maintenance operations and DL mechanics do an outstanding job of maintaining those aircraft?
There are a host of other jobs that are done by DL instead of DCI employees for DL mainline operated aircraft.
As for your list of cities, how about you tell us in which of those cities DL employees do passenger handling including for DCI handling? Maybe you should consider that if you want the freedom to bid into dozens of cities more than where you can as a ramper, you should figure out how to use your finally honed typing skills and the undoubtedly captivating smile that you have to work in public contact areas of the company. (you do have a captivating smile and engaging personality, don't you... your internet persona would certainly seem to indicate that you could succeed in a public contact job).
