That panel was on the 200 I believe and not on the 300. Towing to the gate is well after the tire overheat problem is solved and at the Captains Discretion.Different problems have different solutions. Blown tires ,wing damage many unknowns lead to an overweight landing.Lots of check list ..lots of communications problems (language,f/a's,tower,ground control,fire rescue,just a lot of thing happening at once)if they taxi into trouble then it must have been minor potatoes because there is an air stair and no slides.
