Flights to Nigeria? So you can go collect your lottery winnings? Just kidding, good luck to all at Delta~!
Mama,
Delta must have made a deal with one of the larger identity theft companies in Nigeria--that is where most of the scams started.
Just a little humor folks.....
Ya know, if CO is unwilling to fly it, that tells me a lot. When a well-run, profitable airline like CO doesn't fly it, it makes me wonder how a bankrupt airline like DL is gonna do it profitably.
Thanks for that website. It was fun to read!419 Eater is a site for people who have successfully scammed the scammers.

Didn't DL wanted a route to China?![]()
It looks more and more like Delta has entrusted its international expansion decisions to the airliners.net crowd of pimply-faced adolescents or maybe even some monkeys with a dartboard map of the world.
Anyway, good luck with that.

Maybe that guy on the TV Commercial, poked a pin in Nigeria and thought that was China! I guess chineese going home will think, this is what's on the other side of The Great Wall!![]()
Actually, CO wanted to fly EWR-LOS. They simply couldn't jump through all the regulatory hurdles, so they gave up.
There's no telling if DL will get through all the hurdles either, but if they do, the route has potential.
Perhaps Delta secured the terms that PanAm had, which may have been more favorable than a "new entrant".It's my understanding that Nigeria wanted to tax all of CAL's aircraft in return for LOS-EWR service. Not just the 777 or two that would do the service, the entire fleet! (narrowbodies included) So CAL walked away from the deal.
North American currently services JFK-LOS a couple times a week with a 767-300. This is the only non-stop service from the US to LOS. I think the Nigerian government will make it difficult for any other US carriers to come in until they have one of their own airlines flying to the US.

Gotta figure that there's an awful lot of oil company business travel between Atlanta and Nigeria. Probably lots more than, oh, say, Houston to Nigeria? 🙄

I believe World Airways flies some non-stops from IAH-LOS and also IAH-ANL. Maybe someone from World can share on this one.
