Has anyone in the Tulsa area found a decent health insurance plan for their 19+ year old dependent who is no longer eligible for AA health benefits? Thanks!

You know what? It is cheaper to sign them up for classes at the community college and let them fail if so be it then to buy the insurance.
AA was getting ready to cut my son off after he had to drop his classes when he was injured in a shooting at college. I registered him for 2 online classes and 2 regular mid-term classes.... He did complete them, but he met another student in the class who was taking classes for the same purpose.

The other option you have (like in the shooting) is to file for a "life event" especially if God forbid there is perm. disability. This would negate the "in school" requirement.

Blue Cross/Blue Shield have some low cost plans IF your child has not had a lapse in coverage and there is always COBRA. No cheap but better than no coverage. My son was on COBRA when he was paralyzed and until his worker's comp was certified I had some peace of mind with the medical expenses.
