Dependent Verification

I saw on the hub this evening that the documentations are due by August 31st for dependent health care. Is this a new or a renewal process? I thought that we just went through this not too long ago. I'm thinking that the deadline may be for employees who have never sent in their paperwork. I hope it's not something that everyone has to do yearly!

I think its only for people who added someone last year or has kids and didnt do a verification before. If you havent changed anything recently you should be ok. If you were due for an audit, you got something in the mail back in June with all the instructions on what you needed to send in to them. Got my verification back this week.

I vaguely remember sending in birth certificates, etc...but it seemed like a very long time ago, and I didn't get anything back like you did--at least I don't remember...

I was just a little concerned when I saw a deadline since I hadn't heard anyone mentioning it at work. I guess I'll have to wait until Monday to be able to verify with benefits.

From what I understand it is only West employees this year, apparently the east employees went through an audit last year.

This is a BENEFITS AUDIT... and I am EAST so in you have NOT gotten anything MAILED to you BACK IN JUNE... call just to make sure. If you have ANYONE, WIFE, DOMESTIC PARTNER, DEPENDANTS on your benefits, make sure you were not PICKED in the NATIONWIDE audit. CALL
866-326-7201 HOURS are 11AM to 8PM Mon to FRI. It is for HEALTH BENEFITS and FLYING BENEFITS so if you are NOT sure CALL and make sure you are GOOD TO GO...!!!!!!!!

Some employee were "picked" last year, some this year. Someone who went through the process last year should not have to do it now.

Thanks for the number, I will call as soon as I get a chance. No one that I've asked knows anything, or have even heard of having to do anything this year. The # will save me time looking it up!🙂

What is ironic is the audit will accept a hospital certificate for the bills paying for the birth of a child but to add the child to your travel benefits you must provide a birth certificate(Which costs money and takes time).
Go figure.
